How is everyone?

It's been quiet here, how is everyone?

Two sports related things:

Vikki- GO B's OMG OMG OMG. That is all.

Ebonie- I am so excited the Mavs won!

I have no motivation at work. Yesterday I WFH because I had an 80 page document to review/edit/rewrite parts of. It took me 8 hours to do that task, plus 2.5 hours of meetings. I wanted to pull my eyes out of my sockets by 5 PM. The bonus was I drank a ton of water and had my feet up all day and had no swelling in my hooves. :)

Being in the office is worse for me, but I guess it's good to show myself here. Except the fact that I want to go home and lay on the couch. I kind of feel bad that I have now no motivation to be active any more (I probably should to keep things moving!!). I want to keep walking, but the weather has been the suck here since Sunday (rainy). But on the flip side, I would say I have been active at least 3-4 days a week for  probably 33 of 37 weeks I've been pregnant...which I shouldn't frown upon.

Soooo....who wants to amuse me since I will likely be lurking all day (minus a couple of stupid meetings) :)

Re: How is everyone?

  • Dude. When I was at your stage in my pregnancy, I sat my roly poly self on the couch as soon as I got home from work, walked around my office in flip flops and almost refused to lift a finger. You need to get your rest!

And YAY MAVS!!! And Bruins! I actually wanted the entire hockey game last night and am stoked the Bruins won. I'm becoming a fan of them now.

Today will be a little busy this morning with enrollment, then it'll slow down. We're halfway through summer enrollment of our new freshmen, which is totally awesome - this summer is flying by, but I'm ready for fall and college football already. So...I'm cool with that. :)

My boss also brought donuts this morning, which has made me ridiculously happy and hyper. I got four hours of sleep last night, so I needed that extra boost.

    I PPH your boss. :-)

  • It has been really quiet around here!  I'm getting a little worried that we are slowing down and people are disappearing.

We have been just hanging out at home mostly.  Robert is teething and not always the happiest of men.

We also have had a lot of parties lately that have been keeping us busy.

  • This summer has just been stupid busy already (and it's not even actually summer, I know!). We have our third wedding of the season on Saturday. May gets her tubes next Wednesday. I have a crap ton of meetings to facilitate. I have class every Monday for the next four weeks (excluding the 4th of July) and I'm thrilled about it!

Sadly a lot of the topics I have no comment on because if they're about the babies, I don't want to sound like a know-it-all (since I'm obviously not), and if they're about fashion/cooking, I do not feel like I know enough at all to say something! Alyssa..I did think about disappearing again. Embarrassed It's not you guys, it's me!  I still pay close attention on FB...I would never ditch you completely!

  • I'm good! Finally getting over my sickness. Hanging out in my office, things are quiet but our new websites will be launched shortly and that's exciting. Hopefully it will bring in lots of new clients!

Seriously awesome game last night, they need to play that way tomorrow and bring home the cup!!

Ebonie, you need to become a Bruins fan!!

Very quiet at work now things are starting to wind down, it has been since last week.  I'm slowly starting to feel better, just really tired the antibiotics are kicking my butt.

  • Getting ready to leave for the beach this weekend, crazy trying to pack for Carly, lol. Also working on daycare stuff and things I want to get done here before the return to work. I'll probably be around more once I'm back at work. Ironic, isnt it? ;)
  • Melissa, don't you dare disappear!

Things are alright with me.  I just dropped my car off at the mechanic.  He doesn't think it's a huge or expensive fix, but I am always nervous when someone else has my car.

My body is super confused right now, I think because of the antibiotics, on top of how weird I've been feeling for the last few months.  I've basically felt like I do the day before my period, but for a whole week.  I just wish it would start already!!

Work's okay.  Kinda busy this week, but next week my boss goes on vacation for almost two weeks!  Hooray!

Sorry about the antibiotics, the ones they have me on are killer.  What did they put you on?

No disappearing, that would make me sad Crying

  • Work for me has been scary slow lately. June was our slowest month last year, however my May was so spectacular, I didn't really sweat it all that much.

This year, our sales team has almost tripled in size, so even though we have more total revenue, the money is dispersed among more people...not cool.

I feel like a stay at home wife right now, it's really bad. Hopefully I can get some revenue in before Piper is born. I honestly feel like begging the doctor to induce me now because it's so slow, I might as well take advantage of the down time.

Overall, I'm still feeling pretty good, however I'm looking at this last month of pregnancy like pulling a band aid off really really slowly. I'd prefer to just get it over with and move on with our lives. I feel like this last month is almost a complete waste.

  • Has anyone else seen Bridesmaids??? It's seriously an AWESOME movie, Greg and I went last week. It was so funny and so touching all the same. So much more than the "chick flick" it's been labeled.

I saw it when I went to that all-day bachelorette party. I agree it wasn't a chick-flick, but didn't find it unbelievably hilarious like so many people did. I thought it was amusingly funny but not "oh my gosh, classic, best movie I've ever seen funny." I am really, really fickle about comedies though. The storyline was good and I loved Kristin Wiig's character!

Oh, I agree. I laughed harder in the theater at Wedding Crashers, There's Something About Mary and Knocked Up.

This was just an unexpected good movie.

I'm still shocked that the SIL of the bride is the woman from Mike & Molly. Such a shocking transformation.

I actually started typing in my other post about how my only experience with Melissa McCarthy is from Gilmore Girls, so her character was shock value!

  • I'm hanging in there! Work has been kind of hectic and crazy lately (ok well for the past 3 months or so), so even when I get done early in the day I feel guilty. Which is stupid because I get my work done and then some.

I'm so jealous of everyone's vacations. I keep telling DH that I want to go somewhere, even if it's just for the day! I'd really like to go to the lake for the day, but the water is too cold still to actually get in. Although I might find that refreshing in my larger, pregnant state.

DH has been busy with his band nonsense. It brings in a little extra money, but then I feel like we never get anything done around the house. I asked him what he thought about getting a maid service to give the house one really good once over before baby came. He kind of thought that was ridiculous, but I don't see him offering to do it all!

Other than that, we're just putzing along, waiting for baby!

  • Not bad. The big boss has been away on vacation and gets back tomorrow, so I've been swamped, bad enough that I had a bit of a meltdown Friday night until I finally got my office organized again. It was bad.

Eric might be even more stressed than I, if it's possible. They're really shortstaffed at work, and with his promotion, he's now overseeing 38 accounts, singlehandedly and with minimal tech staff. He's been working late every night, weekends, and is really burnt out.

Face painting season is kicking in too, plus we have our own parties, theater parties, and friend/family stuff. My friend is getting married in August, so his fiancee's shower is the end of this month. Stuff like that.

  • I've been good.  I wasn't on at all last week because I was painting.  Never again.  It was awful.  By day 3 I wanted to quit but was too far in to stop.  We had to prime everything first because the paint was so chalky.  Then we had to coat the walls twice in the living, formal living and kitchen.  I'm just glad it's done.  The house is beautiful but my hand, knees, shoulders - everything hurt!

Summer school started Monday and I'm car pooling which is great for gas but not for time (I live in BFE compared to where I work).  I only have 1 student and teach him for 2 hours and do office work the other 2 hours.  The problem is - he hasn't shown up yet.  So, I'm getting paid to do office work for 4 hours right now, ha!

Other than that, I'm trying to get my Scentsy rockin' again.  I want to do some parties but can't get anyone to do any and am not really sure where to go from here - it's a bit discouraging.

I'm working out 3-5 days a a week.  I still hate working out but I'm doing it because I refuse to have fat pictures at Disney again.

Man this was long.  I guess I had more to say than I thought....

Oh, and I live in Dallas.  Pretty sure DH and I woke our neighbors up on Sunday night screaming when the MAVS won.  I've been a big fan of theirs for years! GO MAVS!!!!!!!!!!!!!

    Painting really, really sucks.

  • Melissa - Don't be ridiculous. You aren't going anywhere!

Not being able to get on at work (except in the break room) really kills my nesting time. I'm usually around in the evenings, but it is quiet.

My parents kept Nate Thur-Sun, which was awesome. Rodgers had the weekend off, so we had a day-long date. :) This week, I have to work on orphanage stuff in the evenings. I need to make up some info packets or something. People keep asking for stuff, and we don't have anything yet! Rodgers has been working on the non-profit application, which is super long. We had thought that we'd just be an extension of our church, but it does seem it would be beneficial to set up a non-profit org. It's a hassle, though.

Nate and baby brother are both great! I can't believe how quickly Nate is learning things, especially new words. Baby brother is a little ninja maniac with hiccups.
