So step son got himself in a head of legal trouble. DH went down to KY and is dealing with a ton of stuff. He is a mess, and wants me down there really just to be there for him. I would had gone with him when he left, but I had an exam that could not be made up. So, I was hoping to leave tomorrow morning. I talked to my professor to schedule a time to make up her test, since in her syllabus she states you can with notice. She then says ok, but you need ot provide proof, a certificate or documentation! and it needs to be approved...
All I told her is that it was a family emergency and I was going out of town for a few days.
I have no idea what type of documentation I could provide.
I can barely understand her, emailed her and the dean as well.
Any ideas? Police report mug shot, what?
Re: Step son in a mess, providing proof?
I tend to forget that everyone is not honest and like to take advantage of others and situations!
I emailed her and the dean asking for more specifics. Trying to get copies of something, its just a mess right now..
The police report from the newspaper is online, think shell take that?
since those are her rules ask her.
I would. And, just as an FYI, at most universities at least, there's no need to involve the Dean in something like this. Deans get involved if you and a professor can't work something out AND you go to the professor's chair and you, the professor, and the chair can't work something out.
Sorry you're dealing with this
