Donating old towels and bedding
I checked the site for YWCA, and couldn't find specific info on donating to a Philly location. The other women's shelter site I checked out, Women in Transition, says that they don't need those things right now. Does anyone have other suggestions?

Most places that provide emergency or transitional housing want new towels and bedding.
You will have a much easier time donating them to animal shelters--PAWS, SPCA, etc.
i have a bad habit if bagging/boxong crap up and leaving it in my car for months...PAWS at 2nd and arch is awesome
