company summer picnics??
do your company's have summer picnics?? we have 800 employees so we have lots of people to plan for but we're trying to think of some things to make it interactive and fun. it's going to take place at the beach so we'll have a cardboard boat race 
but any other ideas? we were thinking like department vs. department tug of war, volleyball, etc.

Re: company summer picnics??
Our picnics are more just like an afternoon of food and games. We usually have a corn hole tournment every year.
You could do tug of war, volleyball, obstacle course, etc.
we have a cookout every summer and ours are just that a cookout. We do not play games or anything like that. Honestly I enjoy sitting around talking to everyone and their families more than I would playing a game. I know some of the guys wives and we only see each other a couple times a year so it is nice.
And I think I played enough of those types of games during my sorority years during derby days.
