bc I don't get summers off as a teacher. Not even an option.
I will get 2 weeks off after next week, during those 2 weeks, i will love you.
once July 11th comes back, we are on hating terms again until August 19th. At that point, I'm off again for 2 weeks and we can be friends again.

Re: to my fellow teachers.
All of our kids are mulitply (most severely) disabled (we are sort of a private school that gets kids from surrounding districts that can't fully accomodate their needs...
therefore they're all entitled to 6 wk summer program (per their IEPs) to prevent regression of skills and/or behavior mods --
so basically, we do a summer program but its pretty much 'dont work dont' get paid"
That stinks! When I was a teacher, I worked for BOCES but was paid to teach summer school. Even when I worked as a TA for another district, I *NEVER* got a break from kids. I worked at summer camps and babysat.
