Health Question
DH's best friend's dad needs a kidney, and my DH wanted to get tested to see if he is a match.
Does anyone know how he goes about getting tested, what kind of test is it, how it's done, and any other info you think is important to share.
Best friend doesn't know that DH is thinking about testing, since he wanted to ask me first. I'm ok with him getting tested, but also want to make sure he isn't put at risk for anything, since he is my priority.

What a great thing to want to do! My cousin's husband also needs a new kidney and they have a donor, no date of surgery yet though, not sure why....
I know I asked if I should get tested and he asked what my blood type was. We didn't match, so he told me not to bother.
Does anyone know if there's a central registry or something for donors? I would love to help someone if I could. I'm already on the bone marrow donor registry.
