My family has a cabin at Hubbard Lake also! What side of the lake are you on?  We are on the south side.

I haven't been up there is so long because of my work schedule, but we are going up for the 4th and I can't wait!

  • We are on the south east side of the lake. Actually we are just south of the launch off N Hubbard Lake rd. Have you ever seen the giant smiley face off the lake? If so, we are the boat house right next to it. We will be up there for the 4th as well. I love it up there.

  • Ok, I know what you are talking about =)

Our cabin is actually in the middle of the woods off of Sucker Creek Rd. It's a hunting cabin that has been in my family for about 60 years.  About 12 years ago my uncle bought South Shore Inn, the restaurant on the south side of the lake, that has the light house in front. I'm not sure if you know it?  Anyway, they had it as a restaurant for a while, and then he turned it into a big house.  His daughters bought the 2 houses next to the restaurant. So it's quite the family affair up there these days! I love it!

Maybe I will see you around one of these days! =)

  • You are not far from us at all. I actually know exactly where your talking about. We usually eat at the little place off Mt Maria Rd. Do you ever go to the sand bar at the very south end of the lake?

  • Yeah, that restaurant used to be called Granny's, but it's changed owners a few times, I'm not sure what it's called now, maybe even still Granny's.  A better place to go eat is the restaurant at White Pines Golf course just up the road from Granny's.  Their breakfast is much better!

Not sure what you mean by the sand bar....we just use the boat launch at the end of Hill St. (the street my uncle's house is on).

Also, there is nothing better than watching a sunset on top of Mt. Maria.  I always secretly hoped that's where DH would propose....lol.
