Re: To get the board moving

  • I'm not sure I will see it at midnight. We did see the first half at a midnight showing in FL and that was fun, but we were super tired the next day at work.

  • very excited, but probably wont see if for a few days.  DH makes fun of me when a trailer comes on, he likes to say "Oh Harry Potter" in Dobbies voice.  My co-worker and is skipped out of work early to see the first part and we probably will again.

  • I am super excited!!! I won't go at midnight...I'll probably choose the hottest part of the day and enjoy the cool theater and a slushie or something at the same time. ;)

  • I've gone to some of the midnight showings in the past, but my buddy who used to go with me moved away.  Sad

I STILL haven't seen Part 1 of the Deadly Hallows.  I keep telling myself I need to re-read the last few books before I see them since I don't remember anything from the 7th book!

  • I told DH when we went to see Part 1 that I wanted to see Part 2 at the midnight showing.  I've only done that with one other movie, none of the HP ones, and I'm SO excited (and sad) for this last installment.  The theatre closest to us is doing a midnight showing, but I'd have to figure out where to take Mia, DH and I would either have to take off work (which I can't do thanks to the 2011-from-hell-) or be exhausted, and it just feels like more trouble than it's worth.

  • I read all the books, but when it came to the movies I was never able to stay awake for the entire thing. Sad I know. Once their all out in DVD, I'm going to borrow them from the library and sit down and watch them all.

  • I am not seeing it at midnight but I'm going to try to see it the first week it's out.  I'm super excited!!

  • I think I will wait for a few days to see it. I have only been to one midnight showing of a movie and I fell asleep because I had worked about 10 hours before going to Towson to see it (the first LotR movie).
  • I won't see it at midnight but will see it the first few days it's out. I can't wait but it's so bittersweet. I can't believe it will be over :( I need a new tshirt as my other one is from HBP.
  • I am SUPER excited! I am a huge fan and I reread the last book before HP and the DH part one came out. I really want to go to the midnight showing. We have a family reunion that weekend here at our house so I think I can convince DH's cousins to come with us.

  • I'm a huge fan of the *books* but not nearly as much a fan of the movies. Its just not the same. I didn't even go to the theater for the last two movies. But I will say that Deathly Hallows part 1 was excellent. Best so far in terms of sticking to the story line. Im excited to see the last one but I kind of doubt I'll see it in the theater. Maybe though, since its the last one.

  • Nope and nope.  In general I try not to see movies when I've already read the book.  It often spoils the characters, or my pictured version of them, for me.  As for Harry Potter in general the books got a little to violent for me towards the end and I'm sure the movie will just be worse.

I hope all who go and see it love it!

  • We will ABSOLUTELY go see it, but probably on a Sunday morning when it's not crowded. We're too old to do a midnight showing AND have to go to work.

  • I've had my heart set on going to the midnight showing since the last one came out...and then I went and got pregnant. DH doesn't think I can stay up until midnight and that I'll have to pee all the way through it. I was seriously contemplating how I could do it. I may just wait until the 7 pm showing. It makes me sad because I love midnight showings...all the crazy people show up and there's just something about being in that first crowd of people to see it! That and I know that after the baby comes we won't even be making it to a movie for awhile so I wanted this last time to be a big deal.

But absolutely going to see it!

  • I'm super excited!! I think we're going to go see it the night it comes out (but not at midnight as I work Friday)...I'm trying to see if the IMAX at the Science Center will have it since that's where we saw Part 1, but no luck yet.
