I think she was just doing it for attention even more after hearing that. People who are going to commit suicide usually don't tell anyone (at least that has been my experience).

When my co-worker committed suicide he called 20 people up until about an hour before. And texted his BSC wife up until about 20 minutes before he did it specifically saying he was going to kill himself if she didn't come over. She never came over so I assume that's part of the reason why he did it.

My grandpa didn't tell anyone he was even thinking about it and my friend didn't either. Maybe they didn't even think about it first and therefore didn't really think to call people. I don't know. So sorry about your friend and his BSC wife.

I'm not sure. It's hard for me to understand suicide. I've seen how it affects people. I didn't just lose a friend and a coworker, but I also lost my BFF. Although he's still physically here, he's been a shell since everything went down because he feels responsible, I think.

I know this wasn't the first, second, or even third time that my friend had attempted to do it. So I'm not sure if he just wanted someone to talk to that night, or if he just had it. I have no idea. But it doesn't make it any easier.

I'm sorry to hear about your grandpa and friend. It's such an awful situation to have to go through.

It makes me sad that they feel there is no other answer, you know? There were so many people that loved my friend and he could have reached out to anyone of us. He called 20 people but because it was 3AM no one answered (at least no one has said they talked to him). It's not because people didn't care.
