Craft ladies==need help on something

I saw this online and thought I could make it myself.

It is made of felt and according to google I can cut felt out with the cricut but there are mixed reviews (one says that it will do fine, just make sure to put that heat and bond, one says that it won't do good as the felt will stretch and not cut right). Would it look bad if everything was felt and then the letters and eiffel tower were done with fabric? Would fabric iron on to felt or do I need to sew it on the felt or tack it on there?

I think it is cute and doesn't seem to hard. It looks like you just cut 2 pieces of felt and they cut the edges with some cute scissors and then just hand sewed it closed and made sure that they got the end of the ribbon inside and sewed them on.

  • Never mind. A lady on the craft board said I could just print out the font I wanted and trace on the felt and cut out. I'm ashamed to admit that I didn't even think of that Embarrassed

    Cutting felt with details like that will be hard.

    I dont think it would look bad at all with fabric instead of felt (you could do the whole thing in fabric).

  • Does it have to be in felt? I was thinking you might could just use fabric for the whole thing.

    Is that a bow holder?

    I might try it with fabric since I do have quite a bit of fabric.

    It is a bow holder. I made one last night but it looks so plain but I really like this one.

  • I have cut fabric with my cricut before. I put heat n bond on the back first.

    Or I think it would be easier to just cut out the letters from fabric with the heat n bond.

    Or I think they sell precut felt letters. I would do that!
