Agreed. Not good for long term, all mine leaked.
I do, however, have some smaller ones I use for packing which you do not need a vacuum for, just roll out the air, and I find that they do allow me to get more stuff in a carry-on size suitcase. They are not the "Space Saver" brand though, just something I picked up at Walmart.

That happened to me, too. After the first one, I tried zipping the second one empty. The zipper ripped the plastic.

Agreed. I'm pretty rough on mine and they have held up great. They aren't helpful for non-fluffy things but are fabulous for those extra fluffy things like out of season comforters and coats.
