raynes does Chicago - Part II
Welp, it looks like I'll be visiting the Windy City again, and in just 11 short days!
I fly in June 27th, have conference stuff June 28th and 29th and then home on the 29th. I'm staying at the Marriott right by O'Hare.
I'm still waiting on the last level of approval, but it's looking pretty likely. I was planning on arriving around 2:30-ish and would love to explore the city a bit, anyone think they'll be available??

We'll just not tell H about this little fact, m'kay?

That is definitely on my Chicago to-do list!
Debbie Downer Alert: I got food poisoning from there
.
Boo! A coworker just told me that another place that was recommended to me (Morton's) gave them the food poisoning too! Gah. Maybe if I avoid ceviche?

I love Frontera Grill
We could also try to get into Girl and Goat. Yum!
Well I'm a vegetarian so it wasn't the ceviche that did it to me. If I had to guess, I'd say avoid the goat cheese.
I will say my meal was delicious...going down.
::sticks fingers in ears:: lalalallalalallalala I'm not listening!!
Tobie and arnie (:P) if you guys are free I'd love to do dinner at Frontera. I feel like we'd need (or would be benefited by) a reservation.

Lol!
That sounds awesome to me.
ETA: Oops, a bit quick to post. How does 7:30 sound? We can always grab drinks first if you're running early from the airport.
That should work. It looks to me like the ride into the city from my hotel on the el is about 20 minutes, so if I'm landing at 5:10, I should be at my hotel and checked in by, say, 6:10, and into the city by 7 at the latest. Unless, of course, someone wants to pick me up :wink wink, nudge nudge: (also, I don't mind taking the train at all, it's like an adventure!)

7:30 works for me. I won't even have to leave work very early. raynes, I can pick you up if you want. I will most likely be driving because there aren't any trains that I could take that would get me there at the appropriate time of day.
I would definitely not recommend driving near the airport at that time of day. It will take far less time to take the el into the city, and it's super easy. Raynes, if you don't want to take the el back to your hotel at night, I can definitely drive you

Tobi, do you want to make the reservation?
I'M EXCITED! I may have just started following Bayless on twitter....

I'm on it. I'll email both of you once I touch base with the restaurant. Raynes, is your email the same as the one I have from last time you were in Chicago? If not, can you PM it to me?
YGPM
