Lucy is currently asleep in her BED!
Last night I decided that the crib set up wasn't working from when she climbed out (we had dropped the mattress all the way to the floor) and the protesting from her was enough to make me crazy.
I told DH I wanted to try to put her mattress on the floor.
So last night DH was awesome, he laid with her on his chest, then laid her on the bed, then hummed to her until she was asleep, she slept til 7am!
I just put her down for her nap and I laid her on her bed and I laid on the floor next to her humming/whistling. 10-12 min and she was out. Let's hope she takes a good nap and she STAYS doing well with the bed!

Re: Lucy is currently asleep in her BED!
Yay Lucy! I'm sure she'll do just great like she is right now.
I'm terrified of making the switch with Brody. As long as he's not climbing out of his crib, he'll still be sleeping in there!
Yay Lucy!
Knock on wood, Annie hasn't climbed out of her crib. Her daycare is trying to get her to nap on a cot and she refuses. Apparently she screams when they put her on the cot and the cot is basically on the floor.
I'm doing ok Heather, it was worse for me to listen to her be so upset. After she climbed out we didn't know what to do because she's still young.
But, if it makes for happier bedtimes then I'm all for it
Go Lucy!
We never got P adjusted to the crib so we converted it to a toddler bed pretty early on. So when we took him out of our bed he went directly into a toddler bed with a baby gate on his bedroom door. He sleeps like a champ in it, and pretty much has from the beginning. My 13 month old niece started climbing out of her crib last weekend (but landed on her head - she's ok but they're scared!). I'm interested to hear from my SIL what they did about it.

OMG! That is scary!
DH and I were talking about switching Levi over to a big boy bed soon. He's been sleeping in our bed for the past couple months. He starts the night sleeping in his bed, but when he flops around, he hits the rails and wakes up crying...so he comes to my bed so we all get sleep.
MIL said about bringing the top bunk from their set of bunk beds over, since it has the rail on it. I think we might try it soon.
