trips or day trips planned this summer?
Any one have anything planned?
DH and I are going for 3 nights to Rockport, MA which is a coastal town north of Boston. We plan to walk around, go to the beach, and go to Hammond Castle.
I have a bachelorette at Foxwoods. Never been, so I am pretty excited.
In August, we are going camping in the White Mountains with some friends.
May take a day trip to Block Island.

Re: trips or day trips planned this summer?
Girl's Weekend is at the end of August.
We're still trying to figure out if we're going to Boston over the 4th of July.
Stand up for something you believe in.
We're heading up to Niagara Falls for a few days in July.
I'm hoping to get a trip to NYC in sometime before the fall - even if it's just for a day.
We may head up to Wells, ME for Labor Day.
We go to Hummarock every July 3rd -4th - but, that wouldn't be much of a vacation for you, Mel.
True story, I've never been to Block Island - but I heard it rocks!
Please do!
I used to always go to Humarock on the 3rd. Not sure why they celebrate the 3rd, but they do. Memories. This year I am going to Brant Rock on the 3rd.
I'll let you know how Block Island is.
we just went down to CO Springs for the day this past weekend
over the 4th, we're going camping up above Idaho Springs (like an hour outside of Denver), at one of our favorite camping spots.
weekend after the 4th, we're going home to STL for my mom's retirement party
probably a few other camping trips up in the mountains the rest fo the summer.
That's it so far....
We are planning on going to eaither Hyannis or Falmouth, MA for the weekend of the 4th of July.
We also have a trip to the Cape planned for the last week of July. We have a friend that is getting married the last weekend so we are going to make a vacation of it and use my grandparents' vacation home for the week.
Other than that, nothing. I don't know if I want to be travelling too much in August/Septemeber in case she decides to make an early appearance ( my niece was born 6 weeks early) or in case they decide to take her early due to the placenta issue.

We're actually heading up to Niagara Falls & Toronto today..we'll be up there until Sunday.
We did a long weekend in Memphis which was very fun
A few weekends ago we did a day trip down to Newport
I think we're heading up to Bar Harbor at the end of August
On Saturday we're going to the CT shore for a week with my family.
A week later, we're going to Washington DC for a weeklong conference.
A weekend in VT in the middle of July for the VT Brewer's Festival.
The next week, another week at the CT shore (timeshare)
First weekend of August, to CT for my dad's birthday and a fireman's carnival.
In the middle of August, girls weekend in Maine.
I'd also like to go to Provincetown and borrow my cousin's condo, but we're running out of weekends.
This weekend we're spending Saturday --> Sunday on the Cape. I've never really been, and since it's Fathers Day weekend Chris really wanted to go, so my little family is packing up and heading out first thing in the morning Saturday and will come back with the rest of the craxy traffic Sunday night!
We're also going up to Yarmouth, Maine for the annual Yarmouth Clam Festival July 15-17. My dad's side of the family has been going forever, and I haven't been in maybe 15 years? I hear it's still the same ol' fun, so I'm excited to introduce Chris and Sami to it.
August 20th I'm taking a day trip down to Newport, RI with the girls for the annual WineFest.
And finally, Labor Day weekend in September we'll be heading down to the Annapolis/Baltimore area for some sight-seeing and the MDRF!

I second that. Totes.

We're going in July! Just booked it last week. AAA had a great deal. I'm psyched. Never been and always wanted to go.
Traffic shouldn't be too-too bad this time of year. We have been driving it nearly every weekend for the last 10 years, and outside of Memorial Day weekend, it doesn't really kick in until July 4th weekend, then it's sh*tastistic until the end of August.
I'm crossing my fingers -- just trying to drive north from Hingham to Braintree on Rt 3 last Sunday was a PITA, so we'll see....

Oh, Route 3. Hmmm...that could be challenging. We go 495 and it's not usually a problem. Take back what I said then!
Haha yeah -- it's just so convenient that we really can't/shouldn't go down any other way. C'est la vie!

Is that in Northern, ME up near Canada? My cousin that lives in Washington is coming to the East Coast and making a pit stop at some Clambake in ME. We were thinking of meeting him there, even though neither of us eat seafood....but if it's the same one, that's the weekend we'll be in Niagara Falls. BOO
nope -- only about 2ish hours from Boston.
