thursdayyyy

good morning, i am exhausted for no good reason.  stayed up late looking at old pictures.  old sap.

yesterday i worked on speed training and did two miles with 6 (really extremely short) sprints.  i wanted to die.  i had to walk the last 1/4 mile.  and seriously, i was wiped out for the rest of the night.  and my legs hurt a little today even.  wtf.  not cool.  i don't know how i am ever going to get my speed up.

other than that, i am going back to the eye doctor today to replace my glasses.  i am so blind that the last pair of glasses i got last week as so thick they make me dizzy.  like over an inch thick.  i am 97, nice to meet you.

making frozen organic pizza tonight.  amy's pesto.  YES PLEASE.

Re: thursdayyyy

  • Sorry about the glasses. As a former major vision problem lady, I can empathize.

I blatantly asked the universe for a break last night. Just a slow down, really.

This week feels like an eternity. I think it's the first full week I've worked since the week of Mother's Day so that's probably why.

Last night I picked up front line and heart worm at the vet, then did a big mama Sam's run.

I got home, unloaded, ate tacos, then we went to Target. That was a large re stocking trip too. Funny: The one suit MFD got is a Tommy Hilfiger slimmer cut and you can see his underwear lines from the boxer briefs on his legs so he pretty much has to wear briefs with it. He did NOT want to buy briefs so he was lingering at the underwear forever. He finally gets them and I am just roaring laughing. So of course when we get up to the cashier they have no price on them. He looked like he wanted to keel over. I really almost wet my pants.

At home I put everything away, made lunch and packed my gym bag. I don't even remember falling asleep.

This morning I slept in a bit until 7:20 and caught the 7:58. That was nice.

Drinks with coworkers tonight. And the guy comes about the hose, he couldn't come Monday. Yippeee hope it can be done.

  • Good morning!

My body hurts so much I didn't think I would be able to get out of bed this morning. My week is boring...drive an hour and a half, skate a ton, drive back home, go to work. The good news is my dance coaches are very easy on the eyes. ;)

Hope you all are having a good week!

  • Last night I watch the Bruins, we had a crazy storms that started about 2 minutes left of the game so I sat there hoping the TV wouldn't go out.

I was also flipping back and forth to Extreme Couponing. I decide last night I really need to get better/start couponing. Not any where close to those people or even have a stock pile at all but just start buying things based on good deal. I may start to stock pile diapers though. I am thinking about formula but I plan on BFing so probably not inless its a wicked good deal.

    That's hilarious!  :-)

I'm in a funk this morning.  I didn't sleep well last night, and today's the 8 year anniversary of my little brother being killed in a car accident.  I always hate being so far away from my poor mama on this day.  On top of that, it's father's day this weekend, and all over the news, TV, everything is talk about father's day, and poor K is not handling it well.  Enough already.  (Of the TV talking about it, not him being upset.)

Other than that, I've been motivated by all of your posts about running, Shauni, and I've been trying to keep myself active.  I haven't been able to commit to the eating healthy just yet (hello, chips and queso for dinner last night...) but I'm getting there.  I'm so sore I can barely move from yoga last night, zumba Tuesday and my own torturous work outs at home this week, and I'm loving it! :-)

  • I'm so sorry Rachel, I imagine today will never get easier for you, no matter how many years go by. So sorry for K too, it's got to be so hard that first father's day after your dad has died. Sending many many good thoughts to you guys this week. Hang in there!

Did someone say chips and queso?

I'm back to taking the steps at the train station. Today will be my third time at the gym this week, so I'm heading in the right direction.

As for K , I know that sucks I hate the week if mother's day with all the talk on the TV I think for me it's even worse my mom's anniversary is that week. I would like to say/hope it gets easier once you have kids and it can be more about his day then what he is missing out of his life.

  • Rach sorry :-(

Last night I was supposed to go run since I haven't yet this week and nope 60 mph winds. Still have a crabby arse hubs and Im sick and fricken tired of it! I told him if he wasn't gonna shape up then I was gonna make him leave town for a weekend by himself.

I am sleep training my 3yo. Yep most people do this with 3 month olds. She has always been a great sleeper and now...horrible. I swear it hits 8pm and she turns into Evil E.

Tonight I have to run, there is no question about it. Tomorrow I scheduled a massage for hubs and my inlaws are getting into town. They don't know where they are staying yet so I have no idea if I will show up to them or not. I really don't want to clean tonight but I will anyways in case they do show. I hate anti planners like that. Im not the most organized person on the planet but I do at least let my hostess know if I will be staying with them prior to showing up with bags.

You're tired because you shocked your body with those sprints - you worked hard last night and it wiped you out so give yourself more credit. And I think you're hilarious with your first two sentences of your post, btw.

Okay - last night I bbq'd chicken, ate and then James took my truck/suv to his dad's house to find out what the noise is near my tires...it's my wheel bearings. so the plan is to get those replaced next week, courtesy of FIL (who is a mechanic) and DH. I also managed to get 4 loads of laundry done yesterday and our new washer rocks.

Today - another work from home day since the billboard division is going golfing at noon and I'm not going simply because it would take me 2 hours to drive home, eff that.

    LMAO.

Slow day yesterday...did dishes and changed litter boxes.  BFF came to visit, we put Baby Q's announcements and the last of the thank you's in the mailbox, dropped off registration paperwork and deposit at Daycare (ouch) and had Baby Q's 2 mo checkup.  He grew 2 inches but didn't gain any weight.  Cue the mommy guilt.  Ped made some recommendations and we go back in 10 days for a weight check.

Laundry and packing for camping today.  DH is really excited about his first Fathers day which is super cute.  And MIL gave DH a huge guilt trip b/c Sunday is also his niece's birthday (she'll be 11).  Apparently, according to her, we must put our lives on hold for every.single.event that impacts her (MIL) and her family.  Resentment much?  Nah.Confused

  • Susie - your MIL can go scratch.

Are you guys going in a tent or camper?

I cannot believe Baby Q is 2 months old.

    image
  • Camper.  I'm not quite 'rustic' enough to go in a tent for a whole weekend.
