WOW!

So I just got off the phone with my best friend who lives up in Indianapolis... Her roommate, a really nice girl I've talked to via skype a few times just had a baby last night.  Here is the kicker, she DIDN'T KNOW SHE WAS PREGNANT!!  She gave birth to a full term 7lb 8 oz baby boy!  I don't know the roommate very well but ~I believe my bestie when she says that they had no idea she was `pregnant!  No normal symptoms or signs of pregnancy, just `a slight (10 lb`) weigh gain!  It's crazy!  I can barely believe it!  I'm going to make a care package to send to her but had to share!  Oh, and mom and baby are doing great!  Perfectly healthy!

sorry it posted a little early, Gracie decided i was done lol

Re: WOW!

  • NO way.....I never believed those stories now that is crazy!!!
  • Just saw pictures!  Full head of hair!  CRAZY!!!  I don't know how on earth she didn't feel anything!  She must have thought she was just gassy or something!

  • That boggles my mind!!!! I can't imagine the shock and surprise first off and second I guess she's lucky that she didn't feel the normal pregnancy issues that so many women deal with!
  • Holy cow! Was she at the hospital when she delivered or at home or work??? Crazy!

  • I could never believe that actually happens, but I believe you!  That's crazyyyyy!  How weird must that be?  Holy crap!
  • I always wondered how that was remotely possible.....but my high school BFF sister had the same thing.  She went about 3 or 4 months thinking she had a cyst - yes, her doctor actually told her (and medicated her for) a cyst!!!  Yet BFF's niece came out perfectly fine and cute as can be.

I'm glad to hear your friend and her son are doing well!!!

  • She delivered at the hospital.  She had my best friend drive her to the ER bc of terrible abdominal pains.  She had her baby w/in 2 hrs of getting to the ER and pushed for 15 mins.  NUTS.  It must have been so crazy!!

  • I never believed it, but I believe you so it must be true! Holy smokes could you JUST imagine?! So happy to hear the delivery went well and baby girl is healthy!! :)

  • Omg! Did she POAS? Is she in a relationship? (I don't mean that to sound mean, just wondering if this was a surprise from a casual dating relationship 9 mos ago or something!). I am so perplexed by this phenomenon...
  • I keep telling myself maybe that is what is happening with me. I keep having my period every month, no symptoms of pregnancy, but I can't seem to get rid of my pooch or weight gain...huh? : )

Seriously, though, glad everyone is doing great! How do you not feel the baby move???

  • Nope didn't POAS.  Went to ER for abdominal pain, had an ultrasound and was told was in labor!!  It is an ex's baby, a guy she dated that summer and fall but they had broken up.  It was her last relationship.  7lb 8 oz healthy baby boy!!!  I can't wait to hear what they name him!  They have no idea what they are going to do..whether she'll still be living with my best friend or not.  I can't even imagine!!!!!  Hopefully I get more details later today!

  • Was she getting her period this whole time??

I'm sorry I have so many questions, I told you I am perplexed how this happens!! How crazy to literally wake up and HAVE A BABY when most people get 9 months to plan. I don't know how I would deal with that...

I had all the same questions!!

I guess she has been having spotty "periods" the whole time which can happen (bleeding throughout pregnancy and mistaking as period).  SO crazy!  I am so anxious to talk to my friend again about it tonight!!!
