Both kids are napping, and I'm...
... browsing landscaping ideas. It's a bit of a dream right now, that we'd be able to even afford half of what we'd like to do, and even more so that we'd be able to do it this year.
That's not stopping me from looking, though. Or, getting quotes! I've met with two landscapers, have another meeting on Monday, and am still waiting to hear back from three more about getting an estimate.
We may not be able to do ALL that we want, but hopefully we will be able to at least do SOME of it, and boost our curb appeal and address some of the safety issues around our property. I sure hope that this work is financially feasible!!
Re: Both kids are napping, and I'm...
I'm jealous of your napping kids! Tynan has given up napping during the day for more than 15 minutes at a time unless he's in the car or the moby wrap. At least he's sleeping better at night most nights...
We need to start getting quotes from landscapers on what to do about our driveway. The gravel has been slowly washed away by the big summer storms the last few years and there's almost nothing left, making for a very uneven dirt and boulder driveway right now. We'd also love a concrete slab where we park... but I think that's out of our budget right now. We're already doing some electrical work and having our chimney repointed and lined in the next couple months, and my lack of income while on maternity leave is not helping the home improvement budget. Someday!
You'll have to post before and after pictures if you get the work done!
If you're looking to possibly get concrete work done, my mom has an AWESOME guy that she's now used several times. I'm not ruling him out for maybe fixing our steps and walkway.
If you're interested, I'll get his contact info for you!
And, I will definitely take before and after pictures of any work that we do have done. I really hope that it works out for us this year.
As for the napping going down the toilet, there's a growth spurt that happens around 4 weeks, and usually last for 2-5 days.

This is the company my mom has used on a couple occasions now. I'm going to see about getting a quote for my stairs and walkway. I know other family are planning to have them redo their pool decks, too.
