Reality is starting to sink in. We are going to travel overseas with a toddler. Yikes! I'm scared and excited. Leaving Saturday evening and landing Sunday. We are staying with SIL and her family. Now that I'm on summer vacation, I've had time to start planning. We are going to do lots of sight-seeing in and around Brussels. We are spending 2 days in Cologne, Germany to meet up with some friends. We are spending 3 kid-free days in Paris. So far we've booked a bike tour of Paris, photo-taking tour of a Paris neighborhood, and a bread making class. The rest of the time we're leaving open to exploring. I think we may also spend a day in Amsterdam to "go to the cafes." BIL was the one who suggested this, as I think he would like company on the excursion (since SIL does not partake in any kind of herbal remedies.)
Re: We are going to be in Belgium in 3 days!
Safe travels and happy holiday!
Bread making in Paris... how cool! My favorite thing in Paris is the bread (seriously-- shopping, food, even wine, all swell, but specifically bread is the best. And God knows I get my fair share of carbs).
I went to Amsterdam last year. Some of the cafes are indeed interesting. Some have great little bake shops next to them. Convenient, no? I didn't expect cats to be everywhere though. I think they're for rodent control since the city is built on canals. Have fun! And cuz I'm a goob...he's my fave pic of Amsterdam!
One more. I can't decide.
I'm so jealous! I miss Europe.
Brussels was great...we spent more time in Antwerp which I loved.
Paris is so fun and make sure to go to the Sacre Coeur!
Ponder-ing whether or not to become a Viking's fan
Wow that trip sounds amazing!!
