What makes you happy lately?

How about some positives?

What's making you happy these days? Anything at all, big or small.

Re: What makes you happy lately?

  • Our house. I'm so glad we bought it. It's like a little oasis. The sun comes in the big windows in the living room in the morning. And I love looking out those huge windows (with kitties sitting in them) into our green backyard. I've had no buyers' remorse it all. I just really enjoy this house. (And abvernon, you'll be saying the same thing soon too. Wink)

  • No matter what, I still get warm fuzzies from the sharing and caring (and honesty)on our board. I seriously love our Nor Cal Board!

I'm taking the bunnies outside today, and it makes me so happy to see them do little bunny dances.

I'm going to pick up The Total Money Makeover from the library tomorrow, and I'm excited to learn new stuff to better manage our finances (step 1: get book FREE from the library! lol)

  • -The sunny weather

-DH actually being home, and me not waking up alone every morning. Also, how happy our dog is that he's around  :)

-Summer fruit is here! Finally, I have something other than citrus, apples and bananas to eat. I've been gorging myself on strawberries and peaches and grapes and melon for the past two weeks.

-Having fun trips planned. We almost never travel but were just in Vegas, are going camping up in the north coast in a couple of weeks, and then I'm going to SoCal to see my best friend for a weekend. It's been good to get out of town every once in a while.

    This.

Our growing baby. and finally being able to tell a few people. :)

Going away this weekend for a little anniversary getaway. After 11 days in a row working I am beyond needing this!

Bunny lover here! I was at petco the other day and they had leashes for them! Do you use leashes?

  • Warm weather!

Being more experimental in the kitchen.

Exploring more areas in SF (even though we have lived in SF for over 2 years, we still have been super adventurous).

Yay! Always good to know a fellow bunny lover!

We have a fenced in back yard with grass, so I usually sit at our patio table and read or type or whatever and they run around and play.

But, we do take them to the park sometimes. We use cat harnesses for them when we go there. =)

    Do you have Buns? =)

  • Well, I'm very happy we got approved for our apt so quickly! It's been a breeze seriously so that is fantastic. And I'm looking forward to being moved in down there. It's a nice place. I'm just super stressed about the moving and the job hunting going on.

Unfortunately no :( I used to have 3. One girl-Maya, 2 boys-Luna and Magic. The little boy Magic was too cute. For some reason he was double jointed so when he would go on tile or a slippery floor his two feet would spread and spread (like a split) and his chin would end up on the floor lol poor little guy, and he would bring himself back up to standing and then slowly down down down. haha but I miss them! I gave them to some friends of ours who give them tons of attention.

  • Baby kicks.  <--- gotta admit, I hesitate to post it, lest I become the girl who can talk about or become happy about nothing but the contents of her uterus...but, it is what it is.  It makes me happy.

Knowing I have good, positive, supportive friends.  Knowing I get to see some of them tonight.

    It's almost-5 on almost-Friday.

I love love love where we live.  Being able to walk 10 minutes and be somewhere that feels completely rural and serene is amazing.  I look forward to my daily river walks with my boys every day.  And I can't wait to take our baby out there <--- sorry, did it again, haha.

Only 1.5 of your 4 was baby related, Silly. I would think baby kicks would be so cool! When you describe where you live, I totally want to live there! I am happy that where we're moving has a lot of trees!

That's awesome :)  Yes, I never appreciated Sacramento being "The City of Trees" until I was an adult and now I really appreciate all the growth and shade.  And now I want to know what all the trees are...I used to be so annoyed by my mom's constant identifying of trees...another indication that I must be getting old ;)

Me too! I was taking all these photos of trees I passed on my way to work this year and it was driving me crazy when I couldn't find what type it was. So I'd ask my mom. I definitely have grown nerdier with age. Wink

I had a co-worker tell me recently she was feeling baby kicks for a month before she realized it wasn't gas.

  • - Our dog, Allie Earp. She's been a part of our household for 3 months now and we couldn't be happier with her. She gets along with our two cats and is well mannered. I also love that she is social and she can more than likely win people over rather than reinforce the negative thoughts/stereotypes some may have based on her breed (she's an American Staffordshire aka part of the pitbull group).

    -  our automatic sprinklers are working. FIL was able to fix them so now we can water our lawn a few times per week for less than 15 minutes and it will help us reduce our water bill.

    - summer weather and fresh corn is around the corner. I am fortunate to live near a bunch of fruit stands and u-pick farms so I plan to take advantage and support local farmers.

Oh my gosh, that sounds so cute! I feel bad for the poor little bun for falling all the time, but that just sounds too cute! I am glad I'm not the only crazy bunny lady who took on 3 bunnies! =)
