Weekend Plans?
We are going to the Kenny Chesney show this weekend, woohoo! IL's are coming down today to watch Kiley for us tomorrow. Our mutual friends are also going along with us.
Re: QOTD
Tonight - clean and organize then clean and organize some more
Saturday - running errands with DH after breakfast, then clean some more
Saturday night - IL's over for 'Father's Day'
Sunday - start working on some of the nursery 'decor'
Do you mind sharing any details (like theme), or is it going to be a big reveal kind of thing? I'm sorry if I missed you already posting this somewhere.
We are going with a slight flowery/nature twist but bare minimum on the fru-fru stuff. Next week I should have a decent picture to share but just ordered the wall decal so doubt I will have that up yet.
Tonight - birthday party for Rex (fancy new bone).
Tomorrow - Farmer's Market then pool
Sunday - Church and chill
Looking at my calendar, this is literally the last free weekend until September.
Nope, no big reveal. This is our crib set: http://tinyurl.com/6efdprq. I told some of the girls about how I'll actually be slightly embarrassed to share pics of our nursery because my PITA husband insists that the tv that we currently have in that room is too valuable to be put in storage and needs to remain in the nursery. It's like 50 inches. We'll be lucky if we aren't divorced before this baby is born - all because of a tv. The walls were just painted a taupe color. I didn't want to paint the room anything flashy because our goal to is sell the place next year and I don't want to try to sell a pink, purple, green, or yellow bedroom. I have a few decals to put up that come with the crib set.
Tomorrow - get up early to beat the traffic going to Maine. My baby shower is at 2 or 2:30. Then relax with the family. I might take my neice out to run a couple errands with me (oil change, home depot for a gc, and pedicure) while my mom and sister setup for the shower.
Sunday - relax with my family, maybe take my dad to breakfast, then drive back home.
LMAO about the tv, but if you are moving I cand see it not being a big deal in the end.
That bedding is super cute, matches your siggy, and will totally go with your paint. I am the oppostie not bedding, breathable bumper (which thank God did not look nearly as gross once on the crib as I thought it might) I need to add a skirt though hopefully in the same light green color.
We went with yellow, I wanted a beige but it would be way to close the rest of our house so I figured yellow was neutral enough.
I don't know if I'll actually use the bumper. It comes with it so I don't have a choice about purchasing it. I've seen some pics where people have turned their bumper into decor or a valance. We'll see if I'm talented enough for that.
I can't wait to see pics of yours!
Holy typos, sorry about that.
I am excited to see yours too. I think the valance thing is a really neat idea!
My Knot Bio My Blog
Tonight - girls night with some friends which I'm not usually excited about, but I'm pretty stoked!
Tomorrow - serving the dad's at church a father's day lunch, then church later on in the evening. Probably take Daisy to the dog park at some point
Sunday - Need to register finally and do some furniture shopping. No actual father's day plans since at the last minute the IL's are going to OC to do some measuring for their new beach condo
Today- "spring cleaning" during Felicitys naps, Dh is working on the flooring some more. Felicity has a dr's appt this afternoon and is supposed to be getting her next hep b vaccine.
Tomorrow- D is participating in the Spartan Race, so we'll be out there supporting him.
Sunday- Fathers day, we'll probably just hang at home.
Monday- the vets coming out for my horses spring shots/check up
I'm a breastfeeding, baby wearing, cloth diapering, co-sleeping, anti-CIO Mommy
Raising Bean
Wives Unscripted
Married my hero on 10-11-08
Our bean was born on 05-19-11
Can I come?!?!?
I love crabs. My dad forced me to learn how to pick my own crab when I was probably 4 years old. He would get mad when my sister and I would rinse our crabs off before picking them because we thought they were too spicy. Now I love the Old Bay and spicyness! (yeah I made that word up)
Today is errands, used my ON groupon. Hair appt later. My hair is whack, but I don't think I want to mess with it until fall. Then bathroom touchup.
Tomorrow is more bathroom touchup and meeting with the tile people. I'm not looking forward to it b/c when Jerry called and said we need to come in and settle the bill and the girl acted confused about why there would be an issue. Ugh.
Sunday is the clusterfuck that will be father's day.
Wives Unscripted
Tonight: Going to check out some things at Babys R Us that we might register for, when we finally get that started next week.
Tomorrow: We have our blood exam for our life insurance, Ben is selling a few computers (yay for decluttering), church and maybe out to eat
Sunday: Getting the house ready for my mom's visit this week.
At some point a trip to Goodwill and the recycling center. I am so excited to get a bunch of this junk out of the house!!
