Tell me your tips and tricks for increasing your boob juice supply.

What you tried, and how well you thought it worked. I'm not having supply issues, I'm a producing machine! I'm just curious what you tried, and what did and didn't work for everyone.

Maybe I'll make a blog post out of this one day...

fenugreek and nursing/pumping consistently at the same time everyday.

I didn't do anything to increase my supply other than making sure to pump or nurse at the same time every day and that was really to just maintain my supply.

I did attempt to continue letting the pump go for 2 minutes after I was "empty" but that didn't last too long b/c I was in a hurry to disconnect and get back to what I was doing.

Nothing in the beginning, I had oversupply from pumping too much too early! Around 5 months when my cycle started up again I had definitely drops at AF and eventually at ovulation as well. I ate oatmeal every day for breakfast, made numerous batches of lactation cookies (learned I definitely do not like Brewer's yeast!) and eventually ended up on the More Milk Plus supplements. Shortly before her birthday I gave all that up and she gets whatever she gets now :P

drank a sh!tton of water.

ate oatmeal every.single.day.

took fenugreek.

pumped or nursed every 3-4 hours except once he started STTN.

didn't try to do work when pumping.

pumped for a second let-down.

encouraged cluster-feeding.

I even took days off of work after I stopped the antibiotics for mastitis, to up my supply by EBFing.

its so good on popcorn!!!!

I needed some tips because it seems like I am having a slight shortage. I now have been eating oatmeal every day since I know that helps:)

I forgot about the TON of water I drank (90oz/day) and I ate oatmeal every day but apparently the instant kind is not the kind that helps so I don't think that helped me any.

This is good to know! We eat a lot of instant oatmeal now, so I'll have to think about making up some non instant in batches or something.
