Sorry for the watermark.. totally not trying to advertise, but I just snagged the pic from FB.

He is doing OK. Still cone-headed and bone-headed. He has had 3 rounds of chemo, which are slowing down the healing of his 3-toed foot, but he is almost there. Just one small scab left. Before he left the hospital they did find something on his lip that they were concerned about, so they removed it. His lymph node looked good, so they are just going to keep an eye on things.

I was up there over Memorial Day weekend, and I can tell you that he isn't phased by ANY of it. He is still a giant, crazy, lovepot. He was practically decapitating me bec he was trying to kiss my face, but he has no notion of where his cone was going (straight into my throat!). He's hilarious. :)

  • Oh my.. He is too freaking cute. He reminds me SO much of Cosmo! Glad he's doing better Smile

  • Yay!!! I've been thinking about him.Glad to hear he's getting better even if it's a slow process. The thing they removed from the lip was benign, right? They are so resilient. I really thing it's often tougher on the owners then it is on them. We should all live the way our dogs do. So happy & oblivious. lol They're so funny with those cones! With his size, his must be as enormous as Brodie's was. Thanks for sharing the picture. He's so handsome!

  • Christie, I've been meaning to tell you this and I keep forgetting. PetDrs are big clients of my company and I was recently working an event with them. I was talking to a girl, she may be a vet tech or office admin can't remember her name. I told her a friend of mine had nothing but good things to say about them, obviously you. She asked about which client and I explained your Am bulldog had recently lost the battle to cancer. She asked if it was Brodie and started gushing about how much everyone loved him. If that was my dog, it would make me happy to hear that, so I wanted to share what they said.
  • Yeah, between his size in general and the length of that schnoz, he is in a special-ordered, biggest-they-make size cone. haha

I can't figure out, filtered through the Dr and my dad who forgets important details, what exactly was on the lip. Just that it had multiple types of cells. I'm thinking it must've been cancerous or they wouldn't have bothered checking the lymph node, but I'm not sure.

Aww, that made me tear up. Thanks for sharing. It's definitely nice to hear. Does Melinda sound familiar? Pretty girl? Tiny? Longer blondish/light brown hair? She's the office manager and worked with us a lot....but really, all of their awesome vet techs new us really well too. I could definitely gush about them so it makes me happy to know that they gush about Brodie & haven't forgotten him. You could always tell that they genuinely loved him and that was a great source of comfort for us. Thanks! :)
