what are you doing for Father's Day?
We are taking scenic train in Western Maryland on Saturday and then going to lunch at Nick's w/ our parents Sunday. I got a kit to make a hand print stepping stone for the garden for DH from DD. I want to give him a little something from me too. ... but I'm not sure what. I may just get him some chocolate.
I'd like to give my Dad and FIL a little something from DD too. .. but I don't know what.

I just made brunch reservations for us, my parents & my brother.
I have plans to do a cute hand print craft w/ the kids for DH, my dad and FIL and already bought the cheap frames from Ikea... hopefully it happens!
I should probably get cards for DS & DD's godfathers too...
DH, DD and I are going to Stony River in Towson for dinner on Sunday. I'm also making him a cake he's requested - probably Saturday. DH really wants some tool, so I'll probably pull some cash out of the budget and hand it to him to hold onto for that purchase. The full price is more than I'm willing to spend right now.
Monday my sisters and I are getting together at my oldest sister's house on Kent Island to make dinner for my Dad. No idea what we're making yet, but I'm sick of being the family planner, so I'm leaving it up to them. We went in on a TV for his new bedroom at my sister's house.
Brunch at Big Fish with my side and then crabs with DH's side. I ordered DH a photo collage thing from Shutterfly and am gong to the mall to get a little something else. I have no idea what to get my dad, but we are thinking boat shoes kind of as a joke because he might buy a boat this weekend. No idea what to get FIL, but Kathryn I like your idea of the stepping stone, FIL does most of the gardening and upkeep he would probably like it!
haha, my dad is the same way about things like that, like going to the mall, he pretends he hates it, but he really loves shoping with all 4 of us.

Saturday Annabelle and I are doing the hand print stepping stone for DH.
Sunday I'm putting together our picnic basket, gather our lunch and taking him to a nearby park to celebrate. I too thought I should get him something, but I think a card will do.
Edit: My IL's are leaving for vacation on Sunday, so I really need to mail out his card tomorrow. And I'll most likely see my Dad next week, so he'll get his card then.
Kathryn-Is this the train you board in Clumberland and then ride to Frostburg? We did this a few years ago (Before A) and we had tons of fun.
My mom & I have a spa day set up since I don't have contact with my Dad. We try to do something together for "father's day." On Sunday, we'll go to my inlaws for lunch/dinner.

yep - that's it! We've been talking about it off and on for several years - I'm psyched to go!
%!*& I forgot to get my dad a gift, which he will never let me live down.
For DH, I will probably make breakfast in bed, unless he has to go in to work early. (He works that day). In that case, I will make him meatloaf. (This is a HUGE deal, since I only cook meat about 1x per year and I hate the smell of it. I'm vegetarian and I don't actually eat it.) I still need to get his gift for him...
I am doing the "D-A-D-D-Y" pictures w/DS hopefully today or early Saturday morning (I know....super last minute). We did them last year but this year DS has been uncooperative every time I try to take them and other times DH is hanging around. I saw a 6 picture frame I am picking up today and the 6th frame is going to have DS' handprint in it. Then on Sunday we might go get brunch or I'll make breakfast in bed and we are going to the Gold Cup game (USA v Jamaica) in the afternoon for his big gift.
For our dads, we usually only send cards since they are really far away.
