Where do y'all stay in GB?
I'm super excited bc my Dad booked our room yesterday. YAY! (not that he can't cancel it, but yay it's booked!)

My parents own a couple time share at Island Seas Resort. It's about 1 mile away from the Port Lucaya. I think I pass Ocean Reef on my way into town!
I am super excited because a lot of our friends and family also own time shares at the same resort. This year there will be 32 people going!! Unfortunately Mr.Jason won't be going
But no worries, I have plenty of fun with out him!
It's a nice resort (but not 5 star or anything). The beach is BEAUTIFUL, even better than the beach at Port Lucaya IMO. The units are spacious and are basically like an apartment. Two bedrooms, two baths, a kitchen, dining room and living room. Luckily the maintenance is kept up with so we never have to worry about it being dirty or neglected when we arrive!

Dang, 32 is a big group- I'm sure there is lots of fun to be had!
I wish Ocean Reef was on, or at least near a beach.. but it isn't. We aren't at the marina a whole lot, but it would still be nice.

No he didn't go last year either
But next year he WILL be going.
Hmm, I thought Ocean Reef was on the beach. I guess I am thinking of another resort. Is it in Port Lucaya? Crap, I can't remember! But I do recognize the name!
Was the new casino there last year? I can't remember that either. But my answer is no, I didn't get a chance to gamble last year since I had the baby with me. Hopefully this year I can talk somebody into watching Macy for a few hours so I can loose some money!

Ocean Reef is on a channel, but not on the beach. I have no idea when the casino was opened, but I know there is a new one.. Uh Ocean Reef is in Freeport I think. Their address is Freeport, but it is not far from downtown Port Lucaya. ...i dont remeber it being that far..it's been a few years since we've been.
I can't wait to have some real conch fritters. mmmmmm
How are you getting there? The boat or are you flying?
We always take the boat. Way back when we use to fly but for the past 5 years or so we have strictly taken the boat. I know a lot of people don't like the boat (well, it is kind of dirty and run down) but I think it's much more relaxing! Now that we have a baby we rent a cabin on the boat. That way we have a place to let her roam and a place to put our stuff down. Oh, and my dad always naps.

I'm guessing you are talking about the Discovery boat? I've never gone on the discovery.
We take our own boat across. Flying is so stupid from Florida. You can't get a direct flight out of orlando or tampa. You either fly to miami, houston, or atlanta first and the layovers are incredibly long. and it costs about $400+ ...stupid.
I've only flown over once and that was in 2008 when my dad & I went over for the weekend to gamble. Every other time we've gone on our own boat.
This year my dad has a new(small-er) boat than we've taken the last 2 years we went. Soo it's going to be different but it will be fine (i hope).
In 06 & 07 he had a 44ft ocean yacht that had a cabin w/ tv, ac, beds... this year we are taking a 28ft sea fox center console. wah

I was so sad to see the big boat go. i've gone on smaller boats before, but I was a lot younger and more likely to put up with the heat. now i'm just whiney when it's hot. ha ha. should be an interesting trip.
