Nesties who had a band at their wedding... (Smange? Rags? Others?)
The Baltimore Knot Board is totally dead and there is someone on there looking for Band recs. So if you want to pimp your band, I am sure that the poster would appreciate it!

Whoa. Me too. I'm dancing around in my seat to "Son of a Preacher Man" right now.
But, you know, two Rags?? DH would have been totally confused.

We had a band that we booked through Elan artists and it looks like it no longer exists.
We liked our band fine, but I was slightly disappointed that lead female vocalist was not the one in the video/on the website...
ETA! and now I can't get the stupid audio to stop playing!
That would have irked me.
I think DH really just wanted someone who would let him play their drums.

This is actually quite common with traditional wedding bands, when nearly every single band member is a replacement it's called a screamer (because you have a group of people that have never played together before and looking at each other trying to figure out what songs everyone can know and fake their way through). I know a lot of musicians that kind of freelance their way through many wedding bands.
This is not always cheaper though and a lot of non-wedding bands have caught on and now charge wedding band prices if asked to play a wedding. A friend of mine had Burnt Sienna play her wedding and they were as expensive as the full orchestra wedding band.
