I can't even tell you the number of times I have either snapped at DH or gotten really close to it because I'm annoyed about a baked good. I'm getting better at not snapping now, but when he comes in and tries to "make me feel better" when I know I've failed, I just want to kill him.

And mega kudos to you for using fondant. I tell people all of the time that I can make stuff taste good, but I am definitely not a decorater. My stuff only looks good if it comes out of the oven that way.

He just kept asking if there was something he could do to help because I was getting so frustrated, and I was so nasty. The fondant was just absorbing too much moisture from the cream cheese icing and was just getting sticky and unworkable. Now that it's been in the fridge all night, I think I can make it ok. I was crying because I felt like it's artwork and therefore I should be able to do it, damnit.

Ugh, I wasn't planning on it anymore, but I'll take photos. Good to remember the beginning once I get better at it, after all. I still have my first face painting photos and they sucked too. E ended up.falling asleep on the couch last night. I woke up at 2 when he came to bed and said sorry, then texted him this morning and he said no worries. Of course, by then I was newly annoyed because he left me with an empty gas tank when he ran out for the Everclear I needed last night.
