bored at work...absolutely pointless post :)

I am watching Grey's re-runs (Lifetime) on the Lobby TV, my desk is in the main hallway.

I cant stop eating the soft peppermint candies that are sitting in a little bowl on my desk! They are pure sugar. I know I need to stop grabbing one everytime I get up from my desk but I cant.

  • I miss not having a TV in the patient waiting room at work. We have peppermints on our desk too and I always eat them...like a handful of them... I don't even like peppermints.

  • Eugh, I forgot when I restart my computer it automatically logs me on TN under the wrong name...
  • Like the peppermints they have at chick-fil-a?

    I love those!

Why do you feel the need to use different names on each site?

Well, after someone pointed it out awhile ago, I probably should have never used "angelsong" to begin with.  I've had that e-mail forever so people I know could easily identify me.  I like my anonymity. ;)  However, it was really too late for me to change it on TK so I figured I'd just have a new one started on TN.  It's not really working out for me though.  I'll probably just end up sticking with the original.

I see.  Have you thought about just scrapping angelsong on TK and using dahlia0512 on both?

Thought about it but I've already used "angelsong" for months over there and have 800 posts on it.  I just need to pick one and roll with it.

I'm not doing very good about staying off TN and staying focused on work.  My parents are coming up Saturday night... they're going to help me work on my chair upholstery project, then Sunday church (maybe) and Dave & Busters.  I keep hoping DH will get to come home in time to see everyone this weekend, but it's not looking good :(

  • DH works in Dallas, so since I'm here alone today, I decided to take a little extra time at lunch and go see him.  I miss Dallas so much.  :(

I really want to move back into Dallas proper.  Like even more than moving closer to Grapevine to be closer to work.  I <3 Dallas.

  •  Speaking of bored...I was reading around being bored...and came across this :(

Coming out of lurkdom again to post my flameful:

I don't feel as bad as I probably should when I hear about members of the military or law enforcement who have died while in the line of duty.  There was a news story on our local affiliate the other night about the family of a police officer somewhere in my state who was killed while on the job.  They are suing the state or someone and pressing for more information about the circumstances of his death.  While I do feel sorry for the family, I'm like "WTF...he's a police officer...isn't getting killed a risk you take as part of the job??"  I think the same thing about the surviving family members of soldiers who get all pi$$ed because their son/daughter died while on tour.  Um...they chose to be in the army...if they didn't want to die, they should have chosen another profession.

  • Unbelievable.....I was waiting for my mom at the international terminal at DFW and they had a movie playing of servicemen and women and I teared up...I don't understand people....
  • I feel bad for her that she really feels that. My DH is in the Army, so it was it was very hurtful to read.

I feel bad if she passes that attitude on to her offspring. That's what I feel bad about.
