i think i have a legitimate swedish fish addiction.

i hope when shady friends' baby comes...our friendship just fades out without having to confront our issues with them. cuz it'll be easier for me.

DH spent all evening in our hot garage installing a new garage door opener for my side of the garage, and then when he came in at 10:30 and didn't want to eat the heavy dinner I prepared 3 hours previously, I gave him shiit. Which he delivered back, and it was deserved.

We're hosting a family cookout this weekend. Typically, we only buy meat and produce from quality sources like farmer's markets and WH. However, neither of our families are well-educated on food sources and sustainable farming so they couldn't care less where the stuff came from as long as it tastes good. And since DH won't be eating the stuff anyways, I didn't want to inconvenience myself so I just ran to Publix and got everything from there. But now I feel guilty b/c I am giving my guests lower quality stuff than we would eat ourselves and also b/c DH won't like that we supported the factories where the meats came from. Lastly, my grocery bill was higher than it is when I shop the other places. Oops.

I'm an angry napper, especially if I fall asleep unintentionally while watching tv at night. I wake up pissed, mostly because there's always crap I have to do before I go to bed. My body wants to go back to sleep instead of putting away laundry, picking up the cat food, washing my face, etc.

Last night DH caught my post-nap rage when he woke me up as he was eating dinner after he got home from being out with friends. So then I was double angry for napping plus him not calling on his way home like he's always done before. Add in cramps too and it was not a good night.

Also, next week is my high school reunion. I have NO desire to go. But two of my friends were supposedly flying in town for it and convinced me that I have to go with them so I agreed. The friend I'm closer to just bailed out to attend a wedding in NY the same night (this doesn't surprise me as she is always bailing last minute, annoying but whatever.) Now, the other friend is still coming but she and I haven't been talking the past year or two and it's really awkward. This coupled with the fact that I don't even want to go in the first place is really bothering me. I want to bail but I won't leave her hanging by herself. Also, I have too many dresses and didn't want to buy a new one so I was planning to wear a strapless sundress type thing that I already have. Now, the organizer says dress code for girls is "wear what you'd have on at a club." WTF for a reunion?

I pulled my own "banana-gate" at the grocery store the other day. I didn't have milk at home because we had been out of town. So, while grocery shopping (she wasn't complaining or anything), I whipped out my daughter's sippy cup and gave her milk that I hadn't purchased yet. It seemed absolutely ridiculous to purchase the milk, go outside, pour her cup, put the milk in the car, and then come back in and shop.

My grandma is the most self absorbed person I have ever met. My cousin just had eye surgery where they removed her eye and put it back. Poor girl is crying blood but she calls and only talks about herself.
