Flame-Free Friday Confessions......let's hear 'em!

I admit that I neglected to shower two days this week because I unconsciously (subconsciously?) pressed snooze too many times and didn't have time to shower before work. Those two days may or may not have been in a row. Embarrassed

Thank goodness for deodorant, perfume, and dry shampoo.

I confess that I am going to my parents this weekend just to get away from my house. Between the kitchen being torn apart, the basement still destroyed from the floor, and the all around mess, I feel useless at home. So I am escaping and leaving DH and home so he can work on the house ALL WEEKEND. I hope he gets a lot done. Smile

I confess that I don't give a flyingfvck about Mother's Day or Father's Day. I begrudge that they take up a an entire weekend if you have a significant other that cares about seeing their parents. I don't need a special day to buy my parents gifts or take them out to dinner.

I am really annoyed by people who think they are fast bike riders, so they want to share the road with cars that go 45-50 mph. Dude, your chicken legs can't pedal that fast, get your a$$ on the effing sidewalk!

And it must be something with this week. I went two days in a row without a shower too.

I also confess that I ate some form of ice cream every day this week. I have a major sweet tooth that will not go away!

I admit that I've barely worked this week between closing on my house, having a dentist appointment and trying to negotiate the new house. I also confess that I'm not feeling confident about how much I'll get done today either....though likely a few things.

Unfortunately, cyclists are supposed to be on the road and not the sidewalks. Technically speaking, the sidewalks are for pedestrians and the roads are for vehicles, which a bicycle is considered (even if they are slower than traffic).

ETA: This is just info, I'm not flaming. No flames, not even a soapbox, since Shelly took it from me.

I confess my friend gave me a bunch of candy left over from a candy buffet at her kids birthday party and i haven't told my husband. I will share with him but i didn't want him to know it was there because he will eat it all before i get any.

I confess that i'm sick of giving out thoughts and prayers and vibes or whatever you want to call them. "I'm afraid it is going to rain on my birthday" does not equal "my family member is dying" and doesn't constitute me needing to pray for you.

I confess that I am petrified to be pregnant. I am not pregnant, yet, but all of this talk of IUI/IVF from my RE is freaking me out.

I also want to mention that my step-sister whom I have not spoken to in nearly 2 years randomly text messaged me last night that she was at the concert, too. I thought it was weird, then I got mad at the randomness and the way in which she wanted to open the lines of communication with me.

This isn't a very good confession, but I confess I eat ice cream or a cupcake every single day. Thank goodness we live super close to the Cupcake Station and Kilwin's. If I was more economical and planned ahead, I would just make a batch of cupcakes or buy a half gallon of ice cream. I justify not doing this because then there is no built in portion control.

I'm looking online for a tankini because I finally have to bite the bullet and go to the lake this weekend. My stomach is in no shape to show up in my regular bikini just yet - I want to cry because I can't find any cute tankinis...I don't want to feel frumpy.

I also confess that I just ate a ridiculous piece of three layer chocolate cake with cream cheese frosting to celebrate one of our employees leaving the office. I have no regrets but it put me over my calorie goal for the day and I haven't even had dinner yet.... Oh well!

Have you checked out Land's End Canvas? It's too late to order something for this weekend, but I believe Sears carries this brand in their stores.

I was just going to suggest the same thing! I bought THIS suit (except with a solid navy bottom) at a Sears store a few weeks ago and I love it!
