Nonclicky poll: favorite desserts
Oh, hello PMS. Why, yes I will eat everything in sight. And then talk about food when I'm not eating it.Favorite dessert? Or top three if you're like me and love everything.
Re: Nonclicky poll: favorite desserts
1. pumpkin pie
2. cannolis
3. a jar of nutella
btw, if i brought a jar of nutella and 10 spoons to book club, is that a fair contribution?
1. Red velvet anything. Cake? Sure. Cupcakes? Yes please. Whoopie pies?
Brownies? Bring 'em on!
2. Cheesecake
3. Froyo with tons o' toppings
WHAT?!
Its like peanut butter. But it's chocolate & hazelnuts & fuucking delicious.
When shoneys was still around they had this ice cream brownie layered dessert that was amazing. Oh so amazing. I also love anything with ice cream and brownies. Red velvet anything is a favorite of mine too.

Warm Apple Pie with a crumbly, nutty crunch crust, vanilla ice cream and caramel drizzle
Pound cake with chocolate fondue
STFU. Remedy that asap. Totally agree with CD.
Gasp!
ETA:
I like red velvet...but I have a question/problem. Isn't it essentially just chocolate cake with a crapload of food coloring? The fake-ness of it without any real added value to the taste bothers me a little bit. Can't they do it and not have it be red? It's great for holiday treats...but I'm kind of missing the point.
It's got a hint of cocoa but a crap ton of red food dye. Not healthy, but I love it anyways.
Especially in cake ball form.
It's actually supposed to be a buttermilk based cake with only 2 tsp - 1 tbsp. cocoa powder, it's just a tiny, subtle flavor, not a chocolate cake.
But ITA, I try to stay away from artificial dyes, so red velvet is out for me unless it's made w/o the food coloring, or with natural food coloring.
Of course! They're on my list too!
I got a 5 lb. gummy bear last year on my bday. It's like a baby, for real! I ate an ear, then went into a diabetic coma. It's now in the freezer...
My moms apple pie
Biscotti's choclate eclair cake
My moms salad dressing cake and homemade icing
I see. I've only ever made it from the box (& only once) to make festive cakeballs at Christmas so I really had no clue what was actually in it. Maybe I'll try one from scratch sometime and leave out the red. It will just be my velvet cake.
