Spending WAY too much money today...
Oh no! In about 4 hours, I have to go pay for the remainder of our belated honeymoon: $1900. Ah! That's SO much freakin' money! I want to go on vacation, but honestly, that's like more than a month of pay for me. I have such a hard time justifying this vacation... calm me down, girls!
Re: Spending WAY too much money today...
Yeahhhh I've had a WEEK like this because we adopted to kittens (which is awesome) but needless to say we've had to throw down some extra cash this week, and coincidentally this is the week I had to pay a huge dental bill, and we needed groceries and normal stuff from Target. :-( I'm, of no help.
All I can say is tonight I'm watching movies and drinking vino to pretend some of my expenses haven't occurred. Who's with me?!
Haha, yes! It's just so hard for me to justify this vacation when I know we could put this money toward other more practical things. But we never got a honeymoon, so we need this. It's just so hard because I'm terrified that something else is going to come up that we'll have to pay for and we'll be putting all this cash down for our "honeymoon." I stress out over money sooooo much, and my DH is so relaxed about it. I don't get how he can be like that!
Do the creep.
This is exactly what my mom keeps telling me. It's been paid with the CC, and by the end of July it'll be totally paid off with my extra money I make coaching swim team full time in the summer. It's not taking a dent in our savings or anything. I make roughly $4000 in a summer of coaching swim team, prior to taxes, so the trip will be paid for by my summer job and we'll still be able to save a little. It's just that I've never charged that much before! But now that it's paid in full, I'm starting to get excited!
DH and I just decided we had to go on our "honeymoon" now or we'd never do it because we'd just keep making excuses. We really feel like we missed out on something--that newlywed bliss time, I guess--since right after getting married we went back to the "real world" after the weekend was over. I hope that while we're in Mexico, we can just have fun and not worry about the money; who knows if we'll ever be back there, right?
