Definitely disappointed in the house we looked at this morning. Although the price tag was great, it was obvious why. It is a manufactured house, and it has to have been one of the cheapest models available. It's not even drywall. It's some composite board stuff that is pieced together. It needs all new carpet. The "partially finished" basement is hardly what I'd consider finished. It's like slabs of carpet stuck together. It did have a nice layout, but I think we'd spend a little more to get a higher quality house.
We're looking at another house this afternoon. Fingers crossed on this one!
Re: House F/U
Good luck! You'll know when you find the right house - just like we knew when we found the right dress!
RIP Dr. Irving Fishman - 10/1/19-7/25/10 - thank you for holding on for me.
You made my wedding day complete.
Good luck...
We looked at one house that has an AWESOME location (like half a block from the express train to downtown) and was really cute (slightly run down, but cute) from the outside. The inside... OMG. Words can not describe the horror of this house. It is basically a tear down. with a $300k price tag!! And a tag sale going on inside the house
It's a little more than we WANTED to spend, but not more than we CAN spend. If that makes sense. But it's essentially move-in ready other than needing new carpet in 2 bedrooms (they were kid bedrooms).
