What do you think of Finger Paints nail polish?  I bought some the other week and I hate it.  I used it the first time and it just didn't go on very well but I thought maybe it was user error lol.  I tried it again last night and took my time and it still came out horrible.  It wouldn't go on even and refused to dry.  I sat there for an hour waiting for it to dry but it was still sticky to the touch.  I went to bed like that bc I didn't want to waste any more time so of course this morning I wake up and it's all yucky, and now it has totally peeled off both of my thumb nails!  Maybe it's my body chemistry that just doesn't go well with this type of polish.  Or do you notice the same kind of issues with it?

Grrr now I have to spend time tonight doing my nails all over again. Angry

  • Aww - that's so sad!  Fingerpaints is my absolute FAVORITE formula!  It always goes on smooth for me.

What basecoat did you use?  What top coat?

My favorite, Tiffany Imposter, is Fingerpaints brand!

What color did you try?  Maybe I can ask around on MUA and see if anyone has had similar issues with that color?

It's called "Drawn to you" and it's a gorgeous pinkish/mauve color which I love but no dice Tongue Tied

I used Sallys Hard as Nails clear polish as my basecoat which I've done with other polishes and it's worked just fine.  I didn't use a topcoat though because the polish still wasn't dry after an hour and I figured a top coat would make it take even longer to dry.  I also made sure to do thin even coats thinking it'd go on smoothly and dry nice, but nope.  Maybe it is just a bad bottle or maybe it just doesn't mesh well with my body chemistry, either way it stinks because Fingers Paints has some of the prettiest colors.

In happier news, I saw Sally Hard as Nails has a new line of colors!  I saw it in Rite Aid the other night being all pretty on display but I had just spent $900 to fix my car less than 10 minutes before so I couldn't justify spending even more money.  But now that I know they are there, it is going to be bad news bears for my wallet lol.

  • If you want to give it another shot, try a different basecoat and then slap some Seche Vite over it (it doesn't have to be dry... and is actually better if it's not... to apply Seche Vite).
