Re: My DH/SO rocks 6/17

  • DH has been great with helping transition Lucy to a new bed, I don't think I could have done it without him and it was fun to hear that he snuggled with Lucy to help her go to sleep

DH was amazing this week- he took the challenge of failing the 1hr glucose with the "we can pass this" attitude... he made sure I had a good dinner on Wednesday night (albeit, he bought corn which I told him I shouldn't be eating... so we enjoyed it). He was a great cheerleader for when I had to drink the glucola and then sat for the entire 3 hrs with me.

When I passed, he took me out for fro-yo... when I sent him the awful email from my father, he comforted me and wanted to scream at my parents. We talked about how we want to raise our children to not have the body image issues I have and how we can help them embrace whatever shape they are.

He gets an A++ for this week Smile

  • My DH rocks because last night after getting home from being out he went and got me ice cream right before they closed since the lines were too long when I went earlier and I didn't want to wait. Smile

  • DH rocks  for sleeping in the guest room for  like the last two  plus  weeks that we've both been so  sick and giving me the better bed because he thinks my sleep is more important because I'm growing a baby. Granted neither of us is sleeping that well because of  our colds, but I do enjoy being able to spread out and not worry about my nest of pillows disrupting him.

Also, we are having a date night tonight, dinner and a movie if I can stop coughin.

  • DH is awesome b/c we actually got some morning sexy time this morning before the witch arrives. Woot!  Of course our morning went downhill from there, but our extra snuggle time this morning to the sound of the rain on our windows was a little piece of heaven.  Oh ya, and he's been awesome with M this week helping me transition her last nursing of the day to before her bedtime routine, so we can start the weaning process.  He's been reading to her after her bath and pjs are on and helping her brush her teeth.  So cute!  She now brings books to him to "read" to her.  :)

Yay for passing the 3hr!  (I have my 1 hr on Monday), but I am sorry to hear about your father's e-mail.

DH changed his FB status today to: "Looking forward for Monday to come! We find out if we are having a Boy or a Girl!"

And now he is in mid conversation with his buddies about it and one offered to pass on clothes to us.  I love that DH is getting really excited and I love that the guys are talking about it just as I do with the girls!

Dude, how are you far enough along to be finding out already?!? Oh my gosh!

As for my DH, he rocks because he must have called me 10 times yesterday to ask how I was feeling. (really, I don't have any symptoms yet, and I love that he's so concerned!) He is just amazing. <3

I know!!  20 weeks came out of no where!  I am trying to really enjoy every minute of this pregnancy because we aren't sure if we want to try for more than one, and even if we do there are (obviously) no guarantees.  It is going so fast, it's ridiculous!

    Aww Aron is so sweet!

PS, I am excited to see your posts on HDBD's!!!

DH rocks this week because he said I can use his bonus check for the cutting machine I want!  Woohoo!  Of course he has an ulterior motive in this whole thing...he can use it too for something he likes to work on.

  • My DH rocks because when he got off work yesterday in the "blazing heat", for CO anyway it was all of 93* and dry as can be, he went out to mow our grass for the 2nd time in a week.  Last week was the first time he could mow the sod, and he kept it pretty tall, so this week he cut it short.  Our yard is looking fab!

He also rocks because I've been feeling down about my few lbs of weight gain (which of course all goes straight to my waist), he keeps saying "There's going to be a baby in there soon so you better get used to it!"

  • My DH rocks because of how wonderful and amazing he has been during my whole recovery. He is taking care of me and the baby and keeping the house clean and doing it all without complaining and keeping my spirits up.

  • My DH rocks because he stayed home with a sick baby today. Even though she is feeling better she still has a little fever so no daycare. Since she is feeling better she will keep him on his toes so he really won't get any work done!

  • DH rocks because of all that he goes through with his health problems. He deals with helll on a daily basis and I can't imagine living life the way he does. He trys his best not to take it out on me (though sometimes of course it happens) and he tells me all the time how Brynn and I are the best things in his life and if it weren't for us he would be a complete mess. I feel terrible for him and wish there was something I could do for him but he is so amazing dealing with everything and just continually pushes himself even when he knows he shouldn't. (physically when it comes to doing things around the house)
