Weekend Plans?
We're headed up to Mason City tonight to meet up with my dad and take him out to BWW for Father's Day and pick up a wedding present for some friends that are getting married tomorrow. Another friend of ours from Osage makes this neat signs with last names so we got the soon-to-be-married couple of one those. The maker dropped it off at my parent's and my mom is out of town at my sister's, so I figure this is a good excuse to have some dad time.
Tomrorow DH has to work for a while and then we're headed to the wedding in Lakota. It is on the bride's parent's farm. B is going with us - we cannot find a babysitter. All of the girls that normally sit for us also play softball and have tournaments. It is also the Eagle Grove summer celebration so B and I might go with DH when he goes into work and see what all is going on in the downtown for that. I was going to run the 5K tomorrow morning but I'm just not ready for it. D2D wasn't that big of a deal because there were so many of us that I didn't look like I was dead last but in a group of 70-90 runners, it might be a bit more obvious.
Nothing going on Sunday - DH has to work again (like 3 hours billing cars and doing the switch list). MIght take B to the splash pad if it is nice.

NOTHING. And I am DELIGHTED!!! We might hit the Farmer's Market tomorrow morning, we haven't been yet this year
and I LOVE it! Other than that, we are playing everything by ear. I can tell you that naps will be involved...and not just for Maddie!!!!

Today we need to clean a bit before MIL arrives tomorrow. If it's nice this evening, we'll probably head out to the trail for a walk.
Tomorrow H is picking up MIL from DM. I haven't decided if we'll be joining him or not. It's MIL's birthday so we are meeting at her parents for ice cream and such that evening.
Sunday, we are going to do something for Father's Day over lunch before H goes into work; I just don't know what. Then I'm headed to my parents' to grill with my dad.
I think DH wants to go to the old car show that's at Johnston Green Days. (Last night we ate our weight in ribs at the rib contest. I'm good on those for a while. lol) I believe they have a parade in the morning that we'll try to hit. Then in the evening we are heading to Pella for father's day celebrations and a cookout at the lake.
Sunday we'll do whatever DH wants to do.
I need to get cleaning, laundry, and make-ahead-meals done for next week as well. I'm flying back out early Wednesday morning. Last Trip!!
With all of this nice weather, I'm finding it hard to stay inside to do cleaning/laundry though. lol!
Tonight we are having some friends over for dinner.
Tomorrow morning I've got an appointment to test drive one of the vehicles we are potentially looking at buying since DH hasn't been in one yet. We'll use that to run some errands!
Tomorrow afternoon/evening we have a friend's wedding here in Des Moines.
Sunday its church and then whatever DH wants to do, I'm guessing put together his present since there's no way I'm going to attempt it! (I got him a bigger grill)
