Yeah most standing positions are out for us too. We're too close in height for him to be able to pick me up or anything. One of the many reasons I wish I weren't so tall.
Reba, I don't know what you guys have tried already, but have you tried to make height adjustments by having him standing on the side of the bed while you're on the edge of it? Or the couch perhaps? Also, you can kind of adjust your height by either being up on all fours, or going down all the ways to your elbows or chest. We get better "connection" if H is on only one knee or leg, and has the other foot kind of planted beside me, if that makes sense. I think he is able to get more control of thrusting that way.
Another spooning vote. I never works for us and we end up moving on very quickly.
I've always wanted to try that..but I don't think DH could hold me.
this one actually works for us, especially in the shower
although we have the opposite problem where he's SO much taller, we almost have to do this if we want to do anything 'standing' because otherwise he's too tall (1'3" taller!).
