Thoughts and Prayers please
Hey ladies, I know I've been MIA for quite some time, but I poke in every now and again just to stay up to date with how everyone is doing.
I'm asking for thoughts (and prayers, if you pray), for a friend of mine. He was diagnosed with stage 3 colon cancer yesterday. It all started with a tumor in his brain a few years ago that was removed...doctors told him it wasn't a question of "if" he would get cancer again, but "when"....
He has a wife and a son who is about to start school in the fall. I'm very worried about him and his family, and am hoping for the best, but of course it's hard to know with stage 3....a lot can depend on where the cancer is located within the colon itself..
I digress....please keep him in your thoughts. I really appreciate it, and I know he and his family would appreciate it too.

Encouraging news...my grandma had stage 3 colon cancer and she lived for about 10 years. They did take out most of her colon and she had the bag, but it was amazing that we got another 10 years with her. The cancer ended up moving to her lungs in the end. Maybe the doctors can do something similar for your friend.

I have experience with colon cancer (my dad had it), though my experience isn't as encouraging as Mary's, I do hope and pray for the best for your friend.
