Bad News Again

Seriously, it feels like the hits just keep coming for us. My husband just cannot catch a break.

Yesterday, DH got fired from his job. They accused him of stealing $200 from a cash box he doesn't have access to. They do not have proof he actually stole it, and he's not sure why they are pinning it on him. He has been telling me the last couple of weeks, his boss has been coming down really hard on him and he wasn't sure why.

Needless to say, I believe my DH is innocent and we are devastated. I was actually concerned he would do something to hurt himself last night, his depression is overwhelming to him right now. I took the day off today and he has an appt with a therapist. Please keep us in your thoughts and prayers.

    Wow, I'm so sooo sorry Brit. The DH's are having a hell of a time around here lately. Of course you believe him and he's lucky to have you there supporting him. These are times when your relationship will be put to the test and the strength of it is showing with the way you guys keep pulling through. I hope the therapy appointment helps. I'll be thinking of you guys.

    Wow Brit, I'm so sorry. I know it seems like you guys just can't win right now, but try to keep your head up. Your DH is very lucky to have such a supportive partner by his side. I know that it's difficult but try your best to find a balance of taking care of yourself while being there for him. Hopefully the appointment with the therapist helps your DH to start working through his depression. I'll be keeping you both in my thoughts.

    oh no I'm so sorry. I will pray for you guys. This is really rough but I know you can come out stronger. Hopefully this will lead to a better job and situation.

    Thank you guys, there is no doubt our marriage has been tested for a long time now. I never understood how devastating clincal depression can be until we experienced it for ourselves. I'm doing my best to be as supportive as possible while maintaining my sanity, we are both in counseling at this point to deal with all of this. I appreciate everyone's support and well wishes.Sorry to be a debbie downer today, continue on with the mindless posting!

    Are you still ok to have us all over Monday? If he'd rather us not be there we can always meet at a Starbucks or something.

    Awww thanks, Tonka is very excited to meet all of you if you'd like. Tini will be safe in her cage because she is terrified of strangers. Ryan will be at his parents so don't worry about any awkwardness in pretending you don't know his most intimate details LOL

    Oh, no! I am so sorry, that is horrible. Unfortunately I completely understand about the wrongful firing thing... so frustrating, isn't it? But I know dealing with depression is even harder. I'm pulling for you guys. Things will get better.

    So sorry you and your DH are going through this.  I hope the counseling keeps working and that he catches a break sometime soon.

    I can't imagine how hard this all has been on you too.  He's very lucky to have such a supportive wife.  I know some would say that's what spouses are supposed to do, but it's easier said than done.

    I'm so sorry you're going through this.  It's great that you're being so supportive of your DH during this time.  Being depressed sucks, but it really does help tremendously to know that your loved ones are there for you (speaking from experience).
