NER: I need shoe dust.
I'm buying shoes (hopefully) for my Birthday gift from DH. Send me dust and vibes that I find cute shoes under $100 at Nordstrom tomorrow. Why do I need dust, you may be asking yourselves? I wear a ladies size 4. I looove shoes, but often leave disappointed when the one size 4 has been sold.
My back-up plan is a Sephora spree.

If you have any use for Uggs, you can get a pair in children's sizes (cheaper that way). I've always been anti-Ugg, but apparently they are ridiculously comfortable.

I'd really love a funky flat in a surprising color, like yellow or purple. But I'm also open to falling in love with an unexpected shoe.
With a 20 month old, the opportunity to wear heels doesn't present itself often. But a low wedge would work.

Nordies is king of shoes...
they started as a shoe store, and nobody does shoes better than them.
Also, and this is important... they'll search all their stores nationwide and ship to you (at home or at the store) so if you see something you like but they don't have your size (assuming it came in your size in the first place!) they'll find it for you...
Nordy's is all about customer service. Seriously. I went there once and said I wanted red strappy heels, comfy and under $100 and they found them for me from somewhere - - they didn't even have them on the floor, but they were absolutely perfect.
Don't even browse - tell them your size and what you're looking for and let them bring boxes out from the back...

It's one of two places I can shop (non-internet/catalog.) The problem is that the 4s go fast--everywhere.
My favorite thing about Nordstrom is that they bring you boxes and boxes of shoes to try on. It's better than a massage.

I adore that... I love Nordstrom in general, though... it's like stores used to be...
I used to work a block away from their flagship store. That place is like a temple to retail.
I was also a block away from the main Nordstrom Rack, their off-price store. Nordstrom apparently has a policy that returns are never sold in their mainline stores, so they sell returns at the Rack. OMIGOD, the deals I got there....
My favorite: Prada black kitten-heeled, close toed open back slides. In black. $39.
It's the one thing I miss about my old job... going over to the Rack and finding stuff like that!
