Vancouver's Temper Tantrum Wednesday
If you have time, and are interested, this was taken of the riots... I am beyond disgusted. I'm not sure how many of you have heard much about all of this, but I just want to say that these people are not hockey fans, they're a bunch of idiots, and they are definitely not a good representation of Canadians in general 
Back in 2006 when the Oilers were in the playoffs, a bunch of people in Edmonton went around lighting garbage cans on fire and 'partying' on Whyte Ave (down town)... All of this is so embarassing and people seriously need to grow up. I'm not a hockey fan by any stretch, and even I know this is definitely not what being a hockey fan is about

It is really too bad. I grew up a hockey fan (although not as intense Canadians lol) and my brother played hockey. I can remember there being articles in the newspaper about fathers getting all riled up at the kids games and getting violent and those were just the children's games.
Mob mentality is a crazy thing.
I was watching the news on the BC channel yesterday and they were showing video footage of the mobs. I don't watch hockey so I hadn't really seen anything yet, just heard about it. I was absolutely appalled and disgusted. They were showing citizens trying to defend property and then the crowd would turn on them and just beat the absolute crap out of them. So disturbing and disgusting. What point is there in continuing to beat an unconcious man on the ground?
The whole "mob mentality" thing sure is crazy. I'm glad there is so much video footage out there, I hope they prosecute everyone they can.
apparently a bunch of morons posted pictures from the riot to facebook as their profile picture of all things, so quite a few of them have been caught and taken into custody from that... hopefully these videos will help the RCMP get the rest
