So I just got off the phone with the adoption agency. They WILL accept our homestudy! Also IF our social worker will email her just 2 forms today, she will show us to the birthmother this weekend. We would know if we would be matched by Monday. I'm trying not to get my hopes up, but it's just 2 forms, I really really hope she'll send them today. Sean is going to call her and I emailed her (for written consent).
please please please I just want to know we were shown.
ETA: We just faxed back the consent forms, I really really hope she emails it out. If our license had said adoption on it to we wouldn't have to do any of this. (You don't get licensed for adoption just foster care, even though we are cleared for both)
Re: So excited I'm shaking Updated
!!!!!
Yay! Fingers crossed the social worker gets her butt in gear!!
We'll just not tell H about this little fact, m'kay?
That's awesome! Lots and lots of vibes that the forms get sent and you get to meet the birthmother.
Keep us posted!!

I'm so glad I was able to jump on for a minute to see that she e-mailed the forms. Great news MO. Keeping fingers crossed and praying for you two!

Thanks ladies,
Most recent update is this: Because the forms have to go through open records, we will not be able to get the paperwork there today BUT if our social worker will just call them and tell them that yes, we are homestudy approved to adopt a domestic infant/child and that our background checks are up to date, they will still show us. I called and emailed our worker. I'm just waiting to hear back. I have never been so nervous in my life.
