So Canada Post is on strike. And guess what, I need something important mailed to me. On the day the strike started, I wrote the last check in my check book. I had no idea it was my last check, otherwise I would have kept it (I just owed my brother some money, that's all). And guess what, I NEED checks to pay my rent! So, I ordered the checks online teh day I ran out and am hoping and praying that the strike will end soon and my checks will get here before July 1. And since my bank is owned by a grocery store, there are no real offices so I can't walk in and say, "Give me checks!"
I other fail news, I went to the doctor on Thursday to get a new prescription of BCP because the last one ran out and she says are you taking "blah" brand of BCP? And it sounded close to the one I was taking, so I said yes. Well, I get to the pharmacy, it's the wrong one. So the pharmacy said they'd have to call my doctor the next day and make sure my doctor didn't want to switch me brands. It all worked out though; the correct brand is waiting for me at the pharmacy and I'll go pick it up today, but without a car, it'll take longer than it should to go get it.
Re: Canada Post strike vent
That really sucks about your BCP!
As for the postal strike, I'm going to lose my mind if they don't come to an agreement soon. Of course I signed up for 2 gift exchanges just before the stupid strike and now I can't get them sent out! I can only imagine how the struggling families who have their paychecks mailed to them feel about this bullsh!t
yeah, our post office workers are complete b!tches about the whole situation. I went in with a package to go to the states and she just looked at me and said 'yeah, I'm not taking that' So I said that I didn't realize that they weren't even taking mail and she said 'What do you think a strike is?'
