Ugh... aside from this Mardi Gras party being our most expensive one of the year, and my sister and I having gotten my mom & dad tickets to see a Doo Wop concert at the Beacon Theater for Father's Day...
It was my friend's 40th birthday, so we're chipping in $50 for her gift with some others, a really high end camera. I have to pay our mutual friend our share tomorrow at the party (as well as the $60 I still owe my sis for ordering the concert tix).
And a guy I've been friends with since we were 9 is getting married on August 14, so wedding gift. That's about $200. And his fiancee's shower is next weekend, so that's a gift. This is the same chick who's having the yoga bach party, so at least it sounds like I don't have to pay for that.
July 25 is my BIL's birthday.
And now I just got an invitation for another friend's "sprinkle." She's pregnant with her 2nd daughter and is registered, but the invite says "small gifts appreciated but in no way necessary" or something to that effect. But if I'm going, how can I not bring a gift? Of course I will.
Then there's the fact that Meg & Neptune still need to get to the vet, Eric's truck still won't start, I have to re-register my car this month...
Oh, and I got a parking ticket the other day, so that's another $54.
Thank god I got a July 4 face painitng gig for $425, huh?
Re: Expensive Summer
Yes. Yes, they do.
Oh, and I forgot my own bday which is July 28... and which used to not cost me much... 'til E & I pooled our funds! LOL

I'd be fine if all these people weren't getting married & having kids, damnit.
And if E's car wasn't 400 years old.
