We got home around 12:30. He is doing so much better, and so much happier to be playign with his toys and running around the house. THANK YOU ALL for the well wishes.
I cannot say enough GREAT things about NWH pediatric unit. The nurses and doctors were wonderful. We were the only people there late yesterday and over night an the 1:1 attention was awesome. The nurse from yesterday hung out talking since I was alone with Jack and we were her only patients. We'll be visted in August when the baby comes along to say hi.
We have to call Shriner's Monday to see if they want to see us, otherwise he surgeon we had met with will do a follow up for us if Shriner's approves. We see his regular doctor Tuesday as previously planned for shots, he just won't have shots until he is off his medication. The results all came back okay, but the doctors said that is because he had already been on antibiotics or 5 days so that altered results.
His hand looks so much better and we just have to wait for swelling to go down, which take a while anyways (last time close to a month).
Once again, thanks for the thoughts, texts, messages, etc. I am happy to be home with him even if it means catching up on a weeks worth of housework.
