OMG, I don't think I've ever been this tired before.

So, from Monday through Friday, I got a collective 20 hours of sleep. Thursday night, the four teachers on the trip sat out in the hotel hallway until 1 am effectively busting up the oh-so-predictable let's-meet-at-midnight-in-the-boys'-room party.

I crashed for 11 hours last night, woke up for breakfast and took a 3 hour nap. And now, having been awake for 2 hours, I'm ready to go back down for another nap.

Parents, holy moly, how on earth do you handle the lack of sleep?!?

Re: OMG, I don't think I've ever been this tired before.

  • Well I hope you have caught up on your sleep.  I will admit I am jealous of your 11 hours of sleep, and then a 3 hour nap.  I love the predicitable, "meet-at-midnight-in-the-boys'-room party.  Oh the memories.

As far as how us parents do it, you just have to power through.  Thankfully I have one who sleeps 11 hours straight, and the other only wakes up 1-2 times a night.  If I get 6 hours of sleep in a night, my body is good.  Scary to think that it has adjusted to little sleep.
