Re: Things your DH has done lately . . .

  • 1) To make you laugh: He does all the time I can't really think of something in particular right now.

    2) To make you (lovingly) side-eye him: In church yesterday he put his arm around my shoulders and smiled this sweet side smile and I couldn't help but smile.

    3) To make you realize you're the luckiest woman in the world: There are two things from yesterday. After church we went to his parents place and he decided to clean out the car. He spent probably an hour getting rid of garbage, vacuuming, and dusting it. AND...yesterday when he was out longboarding and I was walking along the boardwalk he was just so cute and handsome and I couldn't help but feel blessed.

    P.S. fabulous idea!!!

  • 1) To make you laugh:  He gave me a five-minute speech on Saturday about his newfound love for guinea pigs.  (ew.)

    2) To make you (lovingly) side-eye him: He KEEPS trying to put the strangest things in our recycling bin.  If I have to tell him one more time that banana peels are not recycleable....

    3) To make you realize you're the luckiest woman in the world:  He drove nearly 8 hours in a 24-hr period on Friday (to work in CT, home, then back to work again) just to take me out to dinner on Friday night.  He is a sweetheart.

  • 1) To make you laugh: When he is driving and we are listening to the radio, he tends to make up his own words. Seriously the things he comes out with, I just can't help but laugh, even when I am upset about something.

    2) To make you (lovingly) side-eye him: Whenever he randomly grabs my hand while driving in a car together.  It doesn't happen often, but when it does, I know it is genuine.  It honestly melts my heart every time.

    3) To make you realize you're the luckiest woman in the world: When he tells me he is the luckiest man in the world in front of a group of friends.  He will tell friends that he has it made. That I take good care of our family, and that he appreciates me more than words can say.

  • 1) To make you laugh: He comes home almost every day with a blow-by-blow replay of the things that happened on his latest Metro commute. It's hilarious b/c his use of hyperbole is awesome.

    2) To make you (lovingly) side-eye him: His continued inability to wash the dishes properly. We've been living together for nearly four years and I still have to rewash some dishes. He's gotten better, but still . . .

    3) To make you realize you're the luckiest woman in the world: He was a marvel during the whole new job decision process . He helped me sort through so much, but was blunt when I needed him to be blunt. It stressed him out like crazy, too, but he was there every step of the way. In general, though, I look over at him and just squee inside--mine, mine, mine!

    1) To make you laugh: Oh he cracks me up often. I can't remember what he said at the restaurant last night but I was in tears.

    2) To make you (lovingly) side-eye him: His love of planes. He knows all about them and watching an engineering show yesterday he paused it to go. I know what they are going to say. Describes it. Presses play and then the narrator says exactly what he said. He's so smart and it's so cute how much he loves aviation technology.

    3) To make you realize you're the luckiest woman in the world:  Something little. Our bed has a huge goose down comforter on it. He always looses me or thinks I've gotten up. He'll pat around looking for me and then pull me close when he finds me.

my H does the same thing!

  • 1) To make you laugh:  This morning, B was getting ready for work, and he couldn't find the shirt he wanted to wear.  Apparently, he then chose a backup shirt but couldn't find that one either.  So he came in the other room and told me, "I can't find my first or second choice shirt."  I went in the closet, and of course they were there, but I found it pretty funny that he had a backup choice.

    2) To make you (lovingly) side-eye him:  We were picking out tile over the weekend, and B decided that the grout in the entire bathroom should match, even though the tiles are different colors.  I'm not sure he got this idea in his head, but he was so adamant about it, it was pretty cute.  It took me a little while to convince him that in one of the bathrooms we would need to pick two different grout colors (one for the floor and one for the shower surround).

    3) To make you realize you're the luckiest woman in the world:  My birthday is coming up next weekend, and he sent the best evite out to my family and friends.  It was extremely complimentary to me and very funny.  He even admitted he will be the cause of all my future gray hairs.

  • 1) To make you laugh: He's just so playful sometimes, play-wrestling and tickling and stuff.

    2) To make you (lovingly) side-eye him: In Paris over the weekend, his repeated intentionally dirty mispronunciation of Balzac when we were looking at his statue and his grave.

    3) To make you realize you're the luckiest woman in the world: He's just been so supportive recently with my frustrations TTC

  • 1) To make you laugh: The True Blood drinking game made me laugh pretty hard. He made me laugh this morning when we were getting dressed, but I don't remember what that was over.

    2) To make you (lovingly) side-eye him: When he absentmindedly left the milk container on the counter after we'd just talked about him not doing that.

    3) To make you realize you're the luckiest woman in the world: When he looks at me like I'm the only person in the world.

  • 1) To make you laugh: His loving way of making jokes about my current shrek feet and lack of ankles. I can't help but laugh.

    2) To make you (lovingly) side-eye him: He likes to make comments that are just a bit too loud. Lately he's been playing the punch buggie game with much more gusto.

    3) To make you realize you're the luckiest woman in the world: He still looks at me like I'm the best thing that's ever happened to him. He likes to snuggle me at night, and insists on being right next to me, even when I need to spread out all over the couch, including all over his lap. It sorta makes me want to cry right now how much I love the kid.

  • 1) To make you laugh: I realized when I got to work that I'd left my travel mug at home.  I texted him a ":(" and said I was sad I forgot it and he said that he talked to my tea and it missed me too.

    2) To make you (lovingly) side-eye him: he bought a brand new huge iMac (he needed a new computer and this is a partial bday/graduation/Christmas present form his parents)... and I know the main reason he's excited for it is to play games :-/

    3) To make you realize you're the luckiest woman in the world: the first thing he was excited to do when he finished his test on Friday: clean the apartment

  • 1) To make you laugh: Lots of things, he makes me laugh all the time.  Specifically though I can't think of anything off the top of my head...

    2) To make you (lovingly) side-eye him: He did the laundry yesterday and thought it would be good to dry things outside.  So I got home from the long weekend and there were clothes EVERYWHERE on our deck...on the laundry rack, railing, lawn chairs...it was a nice effort, but it looked like our washer exploded Smile

    3) To make you realize you're the luckiest woman in the world: He has been amazing through this whole m/c process--letting me be upset, making me laugh, staying positive, doing things for me that he normally complains about (laundry, grocery shopping, etc...).

  • 1) To make you laugh: He was in a wedding this past Saturday and the bride and groom wanted all the wedding party to do a choreographed dance during their intros. DH was such a trooper about it. Some of the other groomsmen were timid and barely participated but my man was an absolute ham shaking his hips and doing the worm. 2) To make you (lovingly) side-eye him: The way he packs things is horrible. Clothes are shoved together into a suitcase so tight that everything has to be ironed, and nothing is organized. I found my toothbrush in a bag with my shoes. Oy. It's sweet that he packs everything while I'm getting ready but he has a lot to learn lol3) To make you realize you're the luckiest woman in the world: At a recent dinner out with a few other couples we are friends with DH was just such a gentleman. He opened the door for me, helped me in and out of the car, and just kept kissing me and telling me I was beautiful all night. After over 8 years together it's nice to still be treated special. He also was entertaining the kids at the wedding on the dance floor and it just lets me know he's not just a great husband but he'll also be a great father one day.

  • 1) To make you laugh:

He attempted to sing, and he is absolutely tone deaf!

    2) To make you (lovingly) side-eye him:

He started packing to pick up the baby as soon as we got the phone call. We hadn't even been given a list yet. S is notorious for packing super early.

    3) To make you realize you're the luckiest woman in the world

He doesn't care that his son will be black and most likely well over 6' tall, as long as he's ours. Also he didn't even flinch when I told him the amount we need to come up with in less than a month.

    Awww.  That's so sweet.

  • 1) To make you laugh: Last night he kept doing silly things to make me laugh and forget about our not so great visit to his parents house earlier in the day. 2) To make you (lovingly) side-eye him: His inability to take out the trash without being reminded. 3) To make you realize you're the luckiest woman in the world: Last night his mom made some snide comments directed at me and he immediately stood up for me and told her she was wrong and inappropriate. He's really close to his family and I'd always wondered how he would handle something like that.

  • 1) To make you laugh: he went mountain biking for the first time with a friend of ours (who goes ALL the time), and completely crashed out within a mere minute of the ride. he came home with scrapes and bruises all over, but the way he told the story is what had me cracking up. 2) To make you (lovingly) side-eye him: his snoring will be the death of me (or him) one day. I slept on the couch for part of Saturday evening to refrain from smothering him with a pillow. 3) To make you realize you're the luckiest woman in the world: I moved out to the couch early this morning because the kittens woke me up by attacking my hair and jumping all over me. he woke me up a few minutes before my alarm went off (which normally would result in the side-eye) to give me an egg & cheese sandwich he made for me. our idea of breakfast is usually a granola bar and a piece of fruit, so it was a nice surprise.

  • 1) To make you laugh: he snuck up behind me  last night while I was watching TV on HULU and started tickling and nibbling on me wich made me giggle.

    2) To make you (lovingly) side-eye him: he will play his PS3 or watch TV and then talk to me about what is happening on the screen even rewinding the TV to show me funny things.

    3) To make you realize you're the luckiest woman in the world: I don't need him to do anything to show how lucky  am, but he does let me make grand plans of what "we" are going to do when we have the money for like paint and carpet.

  • 1) To make you laugh: Nearly falling out of the cars seat this afternoon because he was so tired.

    2) To make you (lovingly) side-eye him: Complaining about not getting any sleep the last couple nights. I get less than he does.

    3) To make you realize you're the luckiest woman in the world: The days that he takes all responsibility with Edmund and let me sleep as long as I want or go out for a couple hours.
