my weekend was busy! saturday we had friends over to bbq, and they have two little ones. we had a nice time and i made a new orzo salad recipe that was amazing! i'll post it to our blog. yesterday, we hung out with my mom and dad, and we took dad out for chinese. then we came back to my house and hung out in the backyard.
What is going on this week?
hubby is away today and tomorrow, so tonight i have a friend coming over for dinner and to work on a scrapbook for our friend's bridal shower. tomorrow, i'm going to see my old co-worker and her new baby boy! and the rest of the week, i need to get to the gym!!!! i've been eating lots of crap because of all the entertaining we've been doing.
My weekend was pretty good! Friday I got hoagies for dinner for DH, SS and I (SD went to her mom's). SS had a late night xbox tournament with his friend who was leaving to move back to Utah on Sat am, and staying at our house bc his friend lives two doors away. Saturday I did grocery shopping, we made pineapple sunrise pitcher (tequila sunrise but pineapple instead of OJ- SO good!) and I made surf n turf for dinner for his early bday dinner, with apple crisp for dessert. Yum! Sunday we went to breakfast with kids and MIL, then saw Kung Fu Panda 2- very cute!- and made strawberry milkshakes for a snack. Kids went to their mom's again for the evening and we had leftover surf and turf and relaxed.
Today is DH's bday and I'll make him shrimp and pasta for dinner and give him the model plane I bought him!! Cant wait! He has hockey tonight so I'll pack for my conference after he leaves. I leave tomorrow am and will return Thursday afternoon. Saturday my BFF and her fiance will come over for a BBQ! Busy but fun week ahead! And I'm thankful that I have this smart phone so I can still keep in touch with you ladies this week while I'm away!
April 2010 Siggy Challenge: Next Vacation Destination
My weekend was busy and on the shorter side.
Saturday we went back home all day for Father's Day. Hung out with H's family in the morning/early afternoon. Then we went to my parents for dinner and hung out there for awhile.
Sunday H went to the Card's game with his dad. I stayed home and got stuff done around the apartment and then we went out for pizza for dinner.
I still have tons more I want to get done at home, but it won't happen this week. Hopefully next weekend I will be motivated again.
This week I am going to see Bridesmiads with my BFF on Wednesday and Thursday is groccery shopping. Plus I want to go to American Furniture and look for a new table & chair set since the ones in StL are closing.
Saturday morning we invited our parents to meet us to get a 3d/4d ultrasound done. Unfortunately, baby boy was asleep and we could not get him to move (he was folded in half with his feet above his head...couldn't get even a good look at his profile). DH and I then ran a few errands and met his parents for lunch. After lunch, I went to work for about 3 1/2 hours. Once we got home, yard work was completed as was hanging up pictures in the house. Needless to say we didn't stop moving until 11 that night when we decided it was time to eat...
Sunday, we actually slept in some. Then it was off again to do more errands before heading to my parents for Father's day.
This week is going to be just as busy. We are leaving Thursday to go out of town for a wedding, so we are both going to be busting our butts to get things completed at work...
Weekend was super fun! Friday we went to happy hour with some friends and went to bed early. Saturday we had our doggy class which went suprisingly well! Then we came home and made the best mojitos ever and grilled wings and corn on the cob. So yummy.
Yesterday we went to the dog park and ran some errands, then hung out at the pool until our neighbor's BBQ. These are my crazy German neighbors that literally would not let us leave their house and kept making drinks. It was fun, but I am definitely not 100% on this fine Monday.
This week is busy, which I'm happy about. I have a lot going on at work and have 3 lunches scheduled. Hoping the week flies by because I am off all next week WOOOHOO!!!
All things considered, my weekend wasn't too bad. On Saturday my sister Shelly already had plans to come into NYC... she has an A10 type of chat group that she's known for 10 years (they all have kids the same age as my niece), and they were having a GTG. After her news this past week, my other sister decided to join her and I met up with them in the city. It was... bittersweet. She's been friends with these women a long time and I could tell they were trying to put on a brave face. We went out to lunch and then to the Harry Potter exhibit in Times Square.
When I got back to Hoboken, DH sent me a text that he was out watching the Yankees game with a friend so I met up with them and then DH and I went out to dinner.
Yesterday, DH pretty much forced me out of the house; we ran a bunch of errands and then took a little walk.
As for this week... it's going to be busy, and not much fun. On Wednesday I'm taking off from work to take Shelly to her second chemo appt. On Friday I am working from home since I have my annual with my gyno in the morning and a dentist appt. in the afternoon. I must be a sadist doing both on the same day.
Busy weekend for everyone it seems like!
Saturday we went to take my Dad out for Father's Day to this AMAZING restaurant in downtown Worcester. It blew me out of the water it was so great! Then we went to DH's cousin's high school graduation. That was fun, even though there were a TON of high school kids. Then DH and I and BIL went to IKEA and got much needed bookcase as well as a new desk for me as school and a couple other knick knacks. We spent most of Sunday putting those together and cleaning and then we went out to dinner.
CAMP IS THIS WEEK. I want it to be Friday NOW so I wouldn't be stuck at work.

PS I choose Gyno every day and twice on Saturday if I could get out of going to the dentist! So good luck with both in one day!!!! YUCK!
How was your weekend?
My weekend was great! It kicked off on Friday at GLEE! So I know I had my bummed out post the other day but someone was sending their good luck this way because I got passes for Friday! I had a half day at work anyway so I went down to the Izod Center and watched them film all day, then I got to stay for the concert at night, it was awesome!
Saturday I went shopping in the AM for DH's birthday this week, I got a few things but nothing great, still waiting for that inspiration to hit me. Saturday night we went to a CANAM baseball game (basically one level down from single A baseball). My moms company owns the naming rights to the stadium, and this was opening weekend. That got us tickets to an all inclusive suite at the ballpark which was beautiful. I love going to small town games because the food and beer are cheap and it is just a great time.
Sunday I convinced DH to stay home from work, and we hung out at the house with my parents and celebrated fathers day poolside. We had great food, some great laughs, and just enjoyed hanging around and doing nothing.
What is going on this week?
This week will be pretty busy with work. DH's birthday is on Wednesday so I will probably take him out to dinner or something. I have a bridal shower to go to on Saturday in Mass, and I am creating the programs for the ceremony for her as a gift (she liked the ones I did for SIL at her wedding, and the ones I did at mine so she asked if I would be willing to do that). I want to put together a few samples for when I see her on Saturday, and that will give me until August to get them all done.

The weekend was pretty relaxing - although I spent a good deal of it watching the US Open...but all in all, a good one :-)
How was your weekend? My weekend was great! DH and I were at the beach from Thurs-Sunday. We spent time on the beach, ate yummy food, went mini golfing and shopping! yesterday was a long day b/c we left to come home, went right to my IL's to get the dog and give FIL his father's day gift, then to my parents for dinner. I think we finally got home around 8:30 and both DH and I crashed!
What is going on this week? No big plans....unpacking and doing laundry from the weekend. Go grocery shopping and I have a Dr appt. Otherwise that's about it!

How was your weekend?
Good! I was able to get a few indoor projects done that I had been putting off. I spent most of Saturday reading for our book club...still failing though. Sunday my parents had a little get together with a TON of food. I so need to workout.....
What is going on this week?
Not a whole lot. I have to bake a cake by Friday for our church's picnic. Saturday I wanted my family to come over and help do our patio underneath the deck but I don't think that will happen since I volunteered at the church picnic for this weekend. I really need to get the patio done since Sadie keeps tracking mud into the house!

Weekend was good. My cousin moved to Houston yesterday so the family got together Saturday evening for a going away/birthday party for her. Sunday Mike, Amanda & I went to breakfast then to the cemetery to visit his parents' graves. After that we went to my mom's house so he could mow her lawn, and of course I spent a few minutes with my dad's ashes. My mom was gone all day, but left dinner for us.
This weekend we're off to Akron, OH for my good friend's son graduation party. We'll stay for the night then come home Sunday morning. Parties are finally beginning to dwindle down! We had 4 of them two weekends ago; 3 on Sautrday the 11th and one Sunday the 12th. Fun times but I hope to never have 4 parties in one weekend again!
How was your weekend?
It was actually really nice! We headed to the Inner Harbor in Baltimore on Saturday and walked around then headed to a concert I had gotten DH tickets for our anniversary.
Sunday we went to the outlets stores and I scored some awesome deals (Banana Republic jeans for $14.99!)
