Meanies over on the Married Life Board
So I just wanted to take a minute to say you ladies are pretty nice over here. I know I have not met any of you yet, but youve all been pretty nice.
I made a post over on Married Life seeing if anyone had any creative ideas for ways to spend down time with H besides watching TV and some of them were just biootchs about it. I'm not going over there again - I'll just stick to my Detroit gals.
Anyways - hope everyone has a good week.
Re: Meanies over on the Married Life Board
Yeah that board is notoriously mean.
I suggest cooking, board games, card games (learn how to play cribbage! great 2 player game), going for walks, drinking wine and reading books. Oh, and video games if that's your thing. This is what DH and I do during downtime.
5 whole feet of unsuccessful decision making

Wisely and Slow (My Husband's Running Blog)
I never posted over there before, I stay here, entertainment and WC.
I suggest having sex in your down time, plus all of Loki's suggestions! Also if you guys like to try new things in the kitchen, take a cooking class together, or make a new meal together once a week.
You need to have thick skin for that board. We are generally pretty nice on this board depending on the subject. However Jesss10 tends to hurt people's feelings
so watch out for her. You need to have a sense of humor when it comes to public forums as long as you have one then you will be just fine here.
I also suggest a lot of the things loki mentioned. Do the two of you share interests? If so, then start there and then branch out. Sometimes sitting down and watching TV is the greatest though. We don't like a lot of the same shows so when we do get to do this, it is a treat!

Thanks Loki,
Yeah, I'm going to have to get some card game ideas, I just don't know many card games but that's the kind of thing I'm looking for. Something we can do while we want to just enjoy our couch on the rare occasion we have 45 minutes before bed to blow - which maybe happens only a few times a month.
Blowies.
Ha, I have a great sense of humor and I'm always sarcastic - but I don't ever appreciate when ANYONE calls ANYONE an f'ing idot.
We do share a lot of the same interests and share a lot of chores including outdoor chores, activities and we even have an off-road race team together so it's our mini-business we have together. We work really well together on active things. When it comes to the mind-less relaxing things neither of us are creative.
Oh - and we fit sexy time in but sometimes I'm just looking for a break from TV shows...that's all.

Currently DH just finished a tube chasis rock crawling/extreme off-road racing buggy.
Here is a picture of it before the skins are on but you get the idea:
We actually met through an off-roading club. I had a modified Jeep at the time and he had several Jeeps/Toyotas etc over the years we dated. We've since moved onto rock crawling and more modified racing.
Are you into the sport as well?
This was your first mistake.
The only boards that are helpful with legitimate questions like that are this board, MoneyMatters (MM) or Decorating&Renovating (D&R). FYI Sex&Romance is also just like Married Life fyi.
From what I've seen Family Matters is pretty nutty as well.
We do, but ATVs.

Thanks for the heads up. I think I will stick to here and Health & Fitness, maybe sometimes Whats Cooking. Otherwise I don't have time for drama and attitudes!
Fun! Have you been sucked into the Razor movement yet? I'm going to send you a PM you probably know some people I know.
Those are the electric ones right? If so then no. Not really interested to be honest because I thought they were more for kids. I responded to your PM.

Oh that is different than what I was thinking. I thought you meant the Razor electric quad and dirt bikes that are for kids. We both have Polaris machines, but not really into the Rangers. DH wants one and so does FIL. I think they are fun but I like the traditional quad.
