Re: How was your weekend?

  • Our weekend was busy but pretty low key...

Friday night we went to the drive in theater for Green Lantern and the latest Pirates and met up with a couple friends...

Saturday we went to huge community yard sales in a neighboring town-I got some pretty good deals on maternity clothes for when we do succeed in getting pregnant-and then to his brother's house for a father's day picnic.

Sunday we had a family reunion and then took long naps.  Sunday evening we went out for our bike ride

  • Well saturday i shopped till i dropped. I went to some outlet malls a couple hours away from me, bought a new purse, some earrings, and a bracelet. Went out to lunch with my MIL at applebees, then went out to dinner with my dad for fathers day.

Sunday I slept in, and did some laundry. Cleaned up the house and waited for  H to wake up so we could go to a bbq at FIL. After the bbq we went shopping and got some snacks and such for our mini vaca. :)

  • It was a pretty good weekend....wish there were more days in it tho.

Friday night i had made shredded chicken chili burritos, after dinner we went grocery shopping, then home to bed (had to work a double Saturday)

Saturday I got up at 7 and got ready for work...mike got to lay around all day and be lazy on his birthday. after work came home hopped in the shower and got ready to go out for his birthday dinner! we went to the local brewery's new bistro and we were in hog heaven the food was so good, I could have just had plate after plate of there onion rings they were batterd in there blonde ale and so yummy!! as is there blonde ale to drink! I didn't really get mike anything big for his birthday seeing he just bought a new xbox this last week and a new game. I got him some buckyballs there little tiny magnet balls that you can make shapes with and stuff like that, he loves stuff like that so they were a hit!

Sunday we had a fathers day bbq which mikes parents came up for, my dad said he didn't feel like driving all the way up here...so his lost! so we made turkey burgers, corn on the cob, and grilled up some jalapenos and hung out at the pool and watched a movie and had lots of beer.

  • Mine was so busy!  I drove home from Columbus on Friday afternoon (about 2.5 hours) then DH and I worked on our patio all afternoon and evening.  Then we grabbed some food and went to bed.

Saturday we worked on the patio all morning and afternoon, cleaned up and went to our cousin's graduation party.  We did get to enjoy some drinks and smores on the patio that night though!

Sunday we cleaned the house, went to his parents for father's day, then came home and prepared for my family to come over for father's day.  Then I had to finish laundry, pack and do my homework so I could drive back to C-bus at 5 am this morning.

    I am tired.

  • My weekend was awesome, the weather here was amazing and I got to spend time with family a lot which was great.

Friday I had half a day of work so I spent the afternoon grocery shopping, meeting a friend for lunch, doing laundry and straightening up.

Saturday was my birthday, so DH made waffles for us for breakfast. Then we went hiking - it was so hot and sunny but I love exercising and breaking a sweat so it was a perfect way to start my bday. Then we met my family for dinner at a mexican place followed by dessert (red velvet cake, yum) & presents at my grandmas. I got tons of gift cards for restaurants and some awesome running stuff, I was pretty psyched.

Sunday I got in a 3 mile run but it was so hot - I was supposed to do 4. oops. Then we met up for lunch at a brewery for fathers day. We got my dad a disc golf set so we went to a park with a course in the afternoon and my dad, brother and DH played for a few house while my mom and I layed on a blanket and read. We spent the evening relaxing and I just made grilled cheese for dinner because we were not super hungry.

My weekend was pretty good.  My best guyfriend, Rick, came to visit after I got off of work Friday, so me, him, and Jason grabbed some quick dinner at KFC and then went over to a house that my friend was house-sitting for that has a giant pool.  We spent the night swimming around and drinking way too much wine.  We went back over for a few hours on Saturday and then just slept the rest of the day pretty much.

Sunday Jason went down to his grandparents to celebrate Father's Day with his granddad and I went to hang out with my Dad.  I dropped a present off at my Mom's for my stepdad then my sister and I took our Dad out to lunch/dinner at Ruby Tuesdays and then got frozen yogurt at Yogi Castle...mmmm so good.  Afterwards we just hung out around his house for a while and I eventually made my way home.  Jason and I watched our 'wedding video' and then went to bed pretty early.  We didn't hire a videography (although now I really wish we had) and we didn't plan on anything being filmed, but my sister set up her video camera on a tripod so that captured some bits and pieces of the reception, so it was fun to watch.  We had seen it before but only days after the wedding, so it was nice to see it again.  It's an old camera and doesn't have a cord to hook it up to a computer to put it online or else I'd share, grrr.  I'm going to do some googling tonight and see if I can buy a cord to do it.

Friday I stayed in and watched a movie and was overall pretty lazy.

Saturday I headed down to my parents so I can spend the day with my dad for fathers day (I had to head home early sunday). But it was nice just hanging out with them. Nice quiet day.  Then I hung out with my SIL that night.

Sunday I headed home to take Papa to obedience class, and then DH and I worked and cleaned around the house.

  • Friday after work: went to visit mom in hospital (she had total knee replacement surgery last Tuesday); then went home for dinner; then Felix and I went to another couple's house

Saturday morning: took Pippin (our puppy) to vet; went on bike ride with Felix; then got hair trimmed

Saturday afternoon: had lunch and then Felix and I decided to go to a couple animal shelters and see the dogs (aww!)

Saturday evening: made a yummy dinner with Felix, and we took a portion to my mom so she didn't have to eat hospital food

    Sunday morning: church

Sunday afternoon: lunch at Five Guys (mmmm!), then watched part of Pride & Prejudice miniseries (Colin Firth's Mr. Darcy) while cleaning and starting to pack for our vacation to PUERTO RICO!!!

  • Friday night I got home from a long day in the car, and just laid in bed until H and I went to Texas Roadhouse for dinner. Then we came home and went to bed.

Saturday I had to work and then we went to a graduation party and it was another early night for us.

Sunday I had to work and then we went to my parents for dinner. We finally got our wedding video so we watched that at my parents and it is pretty funny!

I am super excited because this was my last full weekend of working weekends!!

  • Mine was great b/c I had Friday off!

Friday: Woke up and did my long run for training (7mi), parents came in town, meet DH for lunch downtown and then my parents rented a tandem bike and I rode DH's.  The three of us biked for about 2 hrs (we joked that I should jump in the lake for a swim to do a complete triatholon training). Dinner w/parents, DH, bro and SIL at a tapas place we've been wanting to try

Saturday: Woke up early for Warrior Dash in suburbs.  3.2 mi run with 10 obstacles including fire and a barbed wire mud pit.  It was friggin awesome.  Parents drove home from there we came back in city, cleaned up and met bro/SIL for burgers and beer at a bar...then we chilled the rest of the night

    Here's a fam pic:

Sunday: Took Oscar for walk to pick up breakfast at Einsteins; DH agreed to come grocery shopping (never happens!) and were done by noon.  We completely laid around the rest of the day.

Hannah I SO want to do a Warrior Dash! I think next summer I'm going to sign up! I'm just worried about my ability to get over the obstacles, but I've heard that people take there time and there's really no pressure?
