I need to find my happy place

And I can't seem to locate it right now. I am so hopping mad right now (family drama) that I think I felt my blood pressure raise and it is normally low! I am trying to think happy thoughts, but I am still mad in the back of my head. I am honestly insanely glad to have my Ella back, I missed her SO much...I keep thinking about that and how goofy Jovie is, but I can't calm myself. Anyone have some happy, fun stuff to share or any calming ideas?

Re: I need to find my happy place

  • This is really immature, but I told Jeff this the other day and it made him laugh.

You can't have (or should I say, say) happiness with out penis. Now whenever people say happiness it makes me laugh...but my husband has changed my mind to become that of a 12 yr old boy...

  • I have drama in my family too.  Sometimes family gatherings make my head spin for the next several days.  There's so much that goes on that I disagree with and I'm a little scared that I'm just going to explode on all of them someday.  Just wanted you to know I understand.

For me, I just try to focus on the family I've created.  I can't control what other people think, do, feel, etc.  I vent to DH about it and he helps me feel centered again.  He's a very rational, faithful person and it helps so much to talk to him.  Spending time with my kids and focusing on the joy they bring me makes me smile :)

    Hang in there!  ((HUGS))

P.S.  How's my little sleepy head doing?

  • Here is a funny story...my sil called to tell me the reaction of our nephew to the bday present we sent.  He is 2 but has 3 older siblings.  This kid is OBSESSED with water/outside.  So naturally we went with a water themed gift since its summer.  Target had these mini super soakers so we decided to get them 4, one for each kid (we okayed it with her first).  So she fills it up and hands it to him.  And he is inspecting it trying to figure it out.  He has it pointed it at himself.  And found the trigger.  So he'd pull it and then get pi$sed that he got wet.  And proceeded to do this 4 more times before SIL could regain composure from laughing and showed him what to do.
